I've never used it, but I've heard that Craigslist is pretty good for buying/selling stuff.

Yeah, that's your best chance, but with any TV, expect to take a huge loss.

How is Craiglist? If I want it for local only, is that how it works?

What is the cost to list something?

I'm highly considering selling my 30" Toshiba CRT HDTV. It's really starting to aggrivate me due to some geometry issues when the 360 is hooked up to it. I also tried the Service Menu codes, but I can't get it to work right.

I was considering getting maybe a 27" LCD to replace this TV.

I did a little TV shopping last night...

I saw the Samsung 50" DLP at Best Buy and fell in love with it. It looked great. I wanted to buy it on the spot, but had no way to bring it home.

After I got home, I did a little searching and found some bigger Samsung models of the same TV that are cheaper than the price Best Buy was selling it at. But, the reviews for the 56" and 61" models don't seem to be as good as the 50"...so I was wondering if anyone has any of these TV or experience with them that could help me out.

          Here are the models...

          Samsung HL-S5086W 50" DLP HDTV
          Samsung HL-S6186W 61" DLP HDTV
          Samsung HL-S5686W 56" DLP HDTV
Samsung HLR6167W 61" Widescreen HDTV DLP TV
          Samsung HL-R5067W 50" HD-Ready DLP TV

What problems are you having with it specifically? I was thinking of putting a 30" CRT HDTV in my daughters room, hence me asking.

              TV Calibration/Geometry Question

I was wondering if anyone could help me with my Toshiba 30HF85. I'm getting overscan when I'm playing the 360 on this TV and the left side of the image always gets cut off. I have the 360 set at 720p, if I put it at 1080i I get flickering on the screen and it helps fix some of this problem.

I have gone into the service menu, but it seems to still not help.

Do I buy a calibration DVD or is there another way to fix this?

I have a pic of the issue that I am having with this TV. I have no problems if I play the 360 on my 50" HD RPTV, but since that TV has been in and out for repairs I decided to just play my 360 on the 30". I don't want to do anymore harm than there already has been done to the RP.

I have the 34 in. version of this televison and have the same flickering problem with 1080i signals, it's a well known problem, I dont use if for my 360 but my DVR, I also had to set it's output to 720p to avoid the flickering. There should be a way to fix overscan in the service menu, go over to www.avsforum.com or www.hometheaterspot.com, I am a paid member at hometheater spot I will see if they have any tweaks in the pay area for that television.

I really do not like this tv, its too dark and if you increase contrast to make it watchable the colors go all crazy, but it fits perfectly in our telvision cabinet, which is all my wife cares about

I don't like this TV either. I did some research over at AVS and haven't found much at all. I even posted in the Toshiba thread and haven't had much luck, I just have been reading that this line of TV's is bad. I wish I would have done more research before buying.

Do you think that it's an overscan or tube problem?

If you can find something for me that would be so great. I know how to enter the service menu, but have played around with a few settings and it still looks like that.

                        Help me.....

find a good HDTV that is over 34" and is not projection. Also the top price would be around $3,000. Thanks
