OK heres my Q about this Tv ( Samsung 61" DLP® Rear Projection HDTV )

Is it good for gaming and easy to set up? Also it says its 12" deep and has a wall mount? Can you hang it like a Flat screen? thanks

Okay fellas, so now I'm looking for a monitor for HD gaming or for computer... ing... or whatever. I don't even know where to start with size. Is 20" good? Are there any screens like that with 720p/1080i/1080p? Any cheap recommendations? Taking it to school if I can get my hands on one with a VGA hookup for my systems.

Pretty much any monitor will work. 1080p is going to cost more obviously. But you could probably get a good one under $200, that's widescreen and will do what you want.

Any tips on cleaning the screens? There is a nice smudge in the middle of mine. You can only see it when the tv is off though. I think my daughter touched the screen with something on her hands.

They sell screen cleaning stuff at electronics stores and computer stores.

Does that mean they are better quality for the same price, or...?

Oh, and one more question not completely concerning which monitor I might want, or whatever... but is there some sort of way that, when I get that monitor, I can attach it to my laptop via VGA input to make it two monitors for one screen? For instance, if I moved the mouse cursor off to the far right of my laptop monitor, it would appear on the newly purchased monitor? I've seen people do that, but I wasn't sure if it could be done with laptops.

I just recently bought this model http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...FH4EF&v=glance
and am waiting for it to arrive...However I am not an electronics guru like most people here and was wondering what other accessories I may need to purchase in order to get the best quality out of my tv.... One ? I had was does this set come HD ready out of the box or do I need to go out and buy an attennae or something else to get it going? Also, I am planning to connect my Xbox 360 to it, are there any special connectors I should get in order to get optimum quality from it? I have heard something about being able to use HDMI with 360 now, is that true? Any help would be much appreciated, and keep in mind that I am not as electronically saavy as some on you so keeping it as basic as possible would be appreciated! Thanks again!

Any reason why with my DVD and widescreen dvd's, the picture doesn't take up the whole screen on my widescreen tv? =/

Not sure if I use the 360 dvd player if it will work or not.

This has to do with the aspect ratio some movies are filmed in. I noticed this too, Casino Royale was the first one I saw it with. Just watched Million Dollar Baby last night on HD-DVD and it was also letterboxed. Some movies are just filmed more widescreen than the tv's...it's normal, just depends on the movie (most are usually fine)

Yep, this happens on HDTV's as well.
