Were you on the HD channel? Usually there are two channels, one is HD and the other is regular SDTV.

Yeah I was...I mean I flipped back and forth between the two and I saw a difference, but not much either.

I think there are a few others who have this televison. I don't think I did anything wrong witht he settings or anyhting like that.

What kind of cables are you using to connect to the tv from the cable box/sat. receiver, Dookie?

360 Hookup question. I decided to try out the 360 using 3rd party VGA cables. The picture didn't seem as good as using component.

2 other things I noticed in the VGA cables. It didn't take up the whole screen no matter what resolution I chose. I have the 32inch Vizio LCD and set the 360 to the set's native resolution. The picture was shifted to the left. Also, the sound was pretty bad. I had to jack the sound up to near max volume to get decent sound. Didn't have the same issues via component.

The VGA thing has been an issue for a while & I believe has gotten worse since the Spring Dash Update. I would go back to Component running your 360 @ 720p & allow your TV to up-convert that signal to 1366x768..

Re: HDTV Questions and Answers Thread

Hey guys, I'm looking at buying a HDTV and am looking for your input. I'm looking to get a HDTV for my bedroom, and also has pc-input, either through vga or the s-video (Although I don't know the differing quality between vga and s-video). I'm looking for a HDTV to play videogames (PS3), watch movies, television, and hook up my computer to:

                -Samsung LNT3253H 32" http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/B000N50...pf_rd_i=507846
After looking at the cnet and other reviews, this looks to be the best 32 inch, but there are audio problems with the HDMI input. It's around $1000, which is expensive. Would you recommend I get this one, or get a similar/older 32 inch samsung from a place from, like, walmart.com, where they have 32 inch samsungs for around $850. These LCDs, I believe, also have a VGA cable / PC-input.

                -Panasonic TH-37PX60U 37" Plasma http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-TH-3...9686204&sr=1-1
I saw this Plasma at Costco for $899, and looks to be a great Plasma from 2006. I'm just concerned that it may be too large for a bedroom. But, if I purchase this Plasma from Costco, I atleast know I won't have a problem returning it.

I also know that Costco is selling a Sharp Aquos 32 inch LCD HDTV for $899, but thought it would be a better deal to purchase the 37 inch Panasonic Plasma instead.

If anyone has any of these HDTVs, or can give their recommendations, I'd gladly appreciate it!

Panasonic makes the best affordable plasmas on the market.
                  NFL: Tennessee Titans
                  MLB: Cincinnati Reds

I want an HDTV that will go well with my xbox 360. Producing the best picture for the xbox. I dont know what kind I would need. I also want one that is relatively cheap so obviously it will be small. Can anyone point me at some good buys or ideas?

The only problem with that PLASMA is it's not giving a full WIDESCREEN Resolution. It's giiving you a 5:4 Apect Ratio & not a 16:9 Aspect Ratio. What's gonna happen is WIDESCREEN content is actually gonna get strectched to fill the TV Screen.

If your gonna get yourself a TV from COSTCO, I would recommend the VIZIO. I believe the 32' can be had for $599, the 37' for $799 & the 42' for $1,000. Excellent TV for the price. It offers more pixels than the Panasonic & is a 16:9 Aspect Ratio TV(Full Widescreen). It offers HDMI & VGA Connections

DO they make smaller ones (Like a 20 inch)? Those seem fairly cheap.
