Are you really saying that Lost is similar to The Sopranos? I don't see it I guess.

Also, when Tony looks up, is he in the middle of scooting over for Mead or reaching for something?

You can take this a dozen places.
Meadow was rushing to tell her parents that she is pregnant. She had a rough time at the gyno's office.

Very well said. The show was about an Italian family in New Jersey and how they dealt with life. The mob stuff was just a distraction.

No, the mob stuff was just the hook for people to get into the show.

I dont watch the show but my mother does and I have noticed that a lot of people have been confused over everything.

After originally hating the ending, she now thinks it was brilliant. Here's her take...

She said that in one of the earlier episodes (i think an earlier season), someone apparently asks Tony what he thinks it would be like to get shot in the head and his reply is something to the tune of "I bet everything just turns black." So, by that take, she believes Tony got it in the head.

Once again, I have never watched an episode of the show, it's just my mother's take.

yeah that's what most people think at this point...it took them awhile to figure that out though...

Forget a mini series since The Sopranos was a mini series, but a movie is a possibility. The release date wouldn't be before 2010.

I posted earlier that I think Agent Harris was just playing Tony to earn some cred with the FBI. He may have been reassigned to counter-terror due to his botched R.I.C.O. case against the Soprano crew.

Keeping Tony alive so he can net a kingpin might be just the ticket for a hefty pay raise, etc. Hence the "we're gonna win this one" after the hit on Phil.

how could he now take down tony now that he's given him information that would get him in trouble? don't you think that would certainly come up in the trial?

For sure it would come up, Tony would be ruthless on that stand taking out anyone that he can not to go to jail. I doubt that Harris would be doing this to get back into the F.B.I. knowing that his career would be in jeopardy for tipping a mobster.

Harris would be fired in a second for this and likely in jail. He set up Phil's death. Phil would still be alive if it wasn't for Harris.

I think it is pretty clear that Harris has grown to like Tony so he was helping him out.

Re: Sopranos Season 6 **Warning for finale spoilers**

Tony dying last night just doesn't make sense to me.

It looked as if he was out of any immediate danger, at least for the time being as far as NY was concerned. Especially after Butchie danced around the notion of reaching out to Tony in his convo with Phil after Bacala & Sil were put out of commission. Paulie had his suspect moments, but his awkwardness seems to be because he's a prisoner of his own insecurities. Plus, Carlo flipped so we can scratch another name off the list.

IF Tony were to have been killed, the only intriguing culprits would have been Patsy Parisi or a rogue member of the Leotardo camp such as a relative or close associate. Chase basically gave the audience nothing to make those connections with as far as recent events go. (For those who may point to Patsy & Tony's past) Tony having his head blown off in front of his family with no clue as to who was really behind it is just too sloppy whether we actually get to see it or not. What if we never knew that the kid that blew Chazz Palmentari's head off at the end of A Bronx Tale was really the son of the guy that Sonny killed 8 years earlier? Yeah the guy gets what coming to him but in the end no real connection leaves a hollow feeling.

Going into this season, I think that most people programmed themselves to expect one of the two outcomes-either Tony would FINALLY breakthrough and save himself & his family before its too late or he would continue on the road to destruction & ultimately pay for his sins with his own life or the life of a loved one. Because of that, I think that the ending either means that the viewer is free to interpret it for themselves (which would give those hellbent on believing that Tony is dead the closure that they want) or that life goes on and that Holsten's is simply where we get off. Personally, I think that Tony will eventually get his in some way shape or form, but we just won't be around in Sopranoland to see it.

Of course, the inclusion of insightful commentary and the alternate endings on the DVD could put this to rest forever. Let's hope they do it.

Also I did NOT like the ending. This is by no means an apologist post.

Don't bet on it. 90% of the commentary tracks on The Sopranos sets are pretty bland.
