I know I did, and sometimes I still do.

My little brother who is a fan of lots of genres of music... his favorite song is "I See Now".

I don't know who your friends are but the song is really not that great.

FOXYboy. If you like "Breakfast Club" definitely look into DJ Z-Trip's "Shifting Gears." Its more of a mixtape than an album because there are a lot of different styles and great guest spots throughout the album (ie: Murs, Supernatural, Chuck D, Soup, Whipper Whip, etc. You can take songs off the album and make mixtape to suit any situation. Fantastic CD.

And I definitely need to get into Del. I love his flow. Any suggestions?

The lyrics are rediculous... it helps that Phonte got a whole verse... granted, Kanye's weren't that great, but his antics during the song really add to the song... I love those "Auuuuwwww"s... and it also helps that Big Pooh split a verse with Consequence.

Pooh can be a great lyricist but if you give him 16 lines, he usually sucks it up... 8 was good enough.

The beat is awesome too... one of the best IMO...

what is your fave song Jmood?

Rapper Big Pooh is a part of the group Little Brother in case you didn't know... I liked his solo album "Sleepers", but frankly, I believe he's the weakest link in Little Brother. He spits a lot of whack verses, but sometimes... just sometimes... he can spit some real hot...

I like him definetely for his crazy interludes on Little Brother... as a whole, they are a great group.

A good way to sample all the music for free to see if you like it is either through iTunes or Amazon.com. If you have iTunes, you can go to the music store, look up one of the artists and listen to samples of their music. If you go to Amazon.com and search for the artist you can also listen to samples. Also check out www.pandora.com.

It's a shame that you've never heard of any of those artists, truly some great stuff. They're all good in the own right, but out of the ones I listed, I mostly listen to Maroons, Lyrics Born, Lifesavas and Binary Star.

Fresh Tendrils, all Del is good, but a good place to start is his "Best of" cd. A lot of classics, some remixes of old songs. But if you only do one thing, check out the "Deltron 3030" album. It's not listed on iTunes, but it is on Amazon.com. It's Kid Koala, Del, and Dan the Automator and it is ridiculous. Beats, lyrics, flow, it's all good. I never get sick of that album. My favorite tracks from that album are: Mastermind, Memory Loss, Madness, 3030, Time Keeps on Slipping...you what, it's all good.

I'll second the Deltron 3030 recomendation.

                      As for MF Doom...

I used to think he was conducting a science experiment. See how far he can push the limits of bad music before his fans turn on him. I mean, some of that stuff was terrible, off-beat, nonsene. I've come across some crazy Doom fans both on the 'net and IRL...and we thought Madden fanboys were bad.

I've since softened on that stance. He can make a conventional beat. It's just a matter of sifting through the weirdness to get to it. I still don't like his rhymes and flow, though.

I have The Minstrel Show and Big Pooh has a guest spot on a track off of Murs new album. He's pretty good on "Barbershop" and I haven't listened to The Minstrel Show yet.
