El-P's hyper-intelligent paranoia raps are every bit as cinematic and affecting as his 2025 post-apocolypse New York soundtracks.

Guess you need to invest in some q-tips.

Timbaland - Too mainstream for me... but you're right
Anthony 'ANT' Davis - A lot of goofy sounding stuff... I know YOUR love for Atmosphere tho so I see why you have him up there, but ew
Kno - Good call... Dirty Acres was superb
Madlib - Beat of the Year "everything man"
          MF Doom - No Hell
          MF Grimm - Hell No
Oh No - 1 of 20 beats will be AMAZING... 19 of 20 will be boring
          Aesop - I don't see this
          EL-P - You KNOW i don't see this
Junk Science - Never heard of him

I gave the album a chance. After that chance I deleted every song except for Poisonville. It's really just noise. I'm not surprised with those reviews either. In a world where Mims and Lil' Boosie are on top of the game, you have to really wonder.

Look, I'm not beefin' with you. You're a cool cat, and you make a lot of great posts in this thread. I just always feel you have an underground complex if you will, and your response to my notion of timbaland proved that I was onto something.

You know what, that's cool man. I'm glad you at least gave the album a chance. I'm not going to shove my views on the album down anyone's throat. I'm just saying not every review listens to "laffy taffy" type music.

Timbaland is always on his club-game.

Is it a crime to not be into club music? And yes, nearly everything mainstream THESE days are made for the club, or for some stupid-*** dance.

I have 46 Jay-Z songs... I'm the guy who gave Kanye's album Classic status (prematurely)... I have Just Blaze produced tracks... and a few Nas. I have Jeezy, Lil' Wayne, and Snoop littered through out my playlist....

I don't have an underground complex by any means but there are producers I enjoy more than others and you shouldn't have read that much into my comment.

Is this better for you... IMO (again, I can't be any more clear with this In my own opinion ****) 9th Wonder is the most ENJOYABLE producer to listen to ... FOR ME... if we keep arguing one producer vs. the other, we aren't going to get anywhere. Our tastes are way too different.

you're right, and I apologize for putting it down like that when I believe in the "everyone has their opinion" view. I just don't think I'm a dick-rider just because I get excited for all the new 9th ish to come out more-so than anyone else. He's just my favorite, and my favorite stuff is the best to me.

Complex: an exaggerated reaction to or preoccupation with a subject or situation c: a group of obviously related units of which the degree and nature of the relationship is imperfectly known

And if you actually read what I said about you, I say you weren't a dick rider. I was making a generalization of 9th fanboys, which I repeat, you aren't one of them.

ha... but in my defense... I have been in my boy's car enough to know that "Duffle Bag Boy" is on the radio every 8 minutes or so.

I haven't voluntarily turned on the radio for 5 years now, and I'm so happy that I've made that choice.

I found this old Company flow video on Youtube, it's been like 10 years since I've seen this:
