Is this the correct place to talk about Superman's new power? Because it's a... a doozy.

Marvel has lost me to some degree. There's not really one book I look forward to and the only thing that has piqued my interest lately is spider-verse.

The Batman (Snyder/Capullo) book is amazing though....easily the best book on the market hands down. Dc is just printing money with that book.

Yes it is, you could put it in spoilers for the "wait for TPB" crowd. I gotta say I loved the storyline until that crazy new power popped up as a bit of a deus ex machina to the conflict that was going on. That being said, I liked the end of the book where a concept from before The New 52 was brought back. I hope that they play around with it moving forward as it would be good to see
        Spoiler
being a bigger part of the Superman books again.

Anyone sub to Marvel Universe? Seems like a great deal, not sure how well the app works on a tablet. I'm a very casual comic fan so I don't need the latest episodes. Why doesn't DC do something like this?

BTW for those interested in the Earth One series of graphic novels for Superman the latest one, volume 3 came out this month. I haven't read it yet but I liked the first volume, not so much the 2nd so this 3rd volume has its work cut out for it.

The Earth One books are OGNs right? What do they set out to do....tell a story about an alternate Batman or Superman?

Yeah they're OGNs and basically a retelling but from a more "real world" cinematic point of view. The Batman one was REALLY good IMO.

Been on OS all this time, even on this side of it, and I've NEVER noticed this thread!

I seriously don't have to leave OS for much of anything now - one stop shop!

BTW, I'm a huge Batman guy. Reading through every Batman comic right now including the New 52 series. Been awhile since I read them and reading through them as an adult has been fun.

Can't wait to read through this thread.

                      Welcome to the thread

I just read Superman Earth One V3 and I have to say it's the best out of the 3 to me so far. I like that there's a continuity but if you haven't read any of the other OGNs you won't get lost in it.

Currently reading through Knightfall. Besides The Joker, Bane is the only other Batman foe that truly understands how Batman works which makes them the most dangerous. Pretty sure most of you have read Knightfall so no need to go into much but if you haven't, its a good "older" read.

My book of the week has consistently been the injustice series, though sometimes the chunks you get on a weekly basis are a little too brief.

Outside of that there is no single book in buying every issue of currently. Im buying injustice digitally every Tuesday and will buy the hardback trade when released.

I just received the second volume of Black Science. It maintains the amazing art and wild sci-fi settings of the first volume. If you like science fiction and beautiful, vivid art, then give Black Science a try.

I also love East of West. It's currently my favorite comic. Fantastic story, excellent visuals.

Both Black Science and East of West would be considered mature reading.
