Probably doesn't warrant a spoiler because the ads will be hard to miss, but here's the first new ongoing after Secret Wars, and Bendis' new home in the Marvel U after X-Men:
Spoiler

"He's getting new armor, a new girlfriend, new villains, a whopper of a last page and thanks to Kieron Gillen who revealed that Tony Stark is adopted, we're going to find out who Tony's biological parents are -- and I'm gonna tell you right now, they are Thomas and Martha Wayne," Bendis told the crowd. "This new armor design has new cool things that it does, including -- you know how Tony has 20-30 armors that show up? This one can turn into all of them."

Injustice finally losing it's luster for me, getting kinda bored with it after it was so good that first couple of years.
Looks like a weaker comic lineup this week from marvel going into the big delays the next couple. Here's your window to hook me into something DC.Comment

I would suggest reading the Justice League Darkseid War, I challenge you to find a better team than Geoff Johns or Jason Fabok.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Justice League was intriguing and sets things in motion nicely for the Darkseid War. The narration of Scot Free and Wonder Woman in parts of it really drove home some of the themes that I think will play out a bit in this storyline. We have all the players on the board and there was a surprise in there (at least to me) which I won't reveal as it's a spoiler but needless to say this is going to be quite the event. Hopefully it'll make up for the bad taste that Convergence left readers with.
Dont know where Aquaman is though...wish there was some mention of that. All in all a great read, with plenty of narrative, action, intrigue, and suspense given what happened to a few characters....Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Extraordinary X-Men, Uncanny X-Men and Ultimates look like they could be awesome.
Jeff Lemire is on Old Man Logan and Extraordinary X-Men. Count me in on those two.
Then Gregg Land is doing art on Uncanny X-men, that's 3 I'm in on so far.
Deadpool w/ Gerry Duggan is always good, that's 4.
Daredevil is a must, that's 5.
I probably will buy 5 of the new Spidey books, that's 10 total so far.
Lemire is on Hawkeye too and I've been following that one, 11 books.
Greg Pak and Hulk = Planet Hulk and awesome, 12 books and counting...
Then you can't read in the Marvel universe without following at least one Avengers book, and I see 3 which pique my interest.
So yea...15 books I can see buyingOriginally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Will Eisner's The Spirit is now a Dynamite property and it fits their line of comics much better than it did with DC. I really enjoyed the first issue as it's a proper "pilot" so to speak rather than just assuming people knew the basics the way DC did it last. The art is fantastic and the storyline looks to be pretty interesting. They're really digging into the full cast of characters as well so it isn't just The Spirit, Dolan and his daughter.
If you like that kind of stuff I highly recommend it.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Green Arrow #41 was pretty good. Nothing like good'ol street level murder and diabolical villains after all of these world destroying, converging, intergalactic stories.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Comic Book Fans....
After becoming disappointed in a lot of the new directions the big two are going, I have been reading some other titles I thought I would share with guys. Quite a few from Image and some Independents.
Birthright- an interesting tale of fantasy and real world dimension mixing battle of good vs evil.
Copperhead- Space yarn with kind of a Firefly vibe
Manifest Destiny-In 1804, Captain Meriwether Lewis and Second Lieutenant William Clark set out on an expedition to explore the uncharted American frontier. This is the story of what the monsters they discovered lurking in the wilds...
Garth Ennis - War Stories. Really don't think this needs any more explanation.
Lady Mechanika- Beautiful steam punk book with a great story and amazing art from Joe Benitez
Just a few of the different titles I have been enjoying lately that I think some of you may like as well.
PS:
Also Rat Queens, absolutely hilarious book that is one of my new favorites.Last edited by Bullit; 07-02-2015, 08:02 PM.In Loving memory of my "Cricket" 1/2/96 - 11/19/2012
