Re: Heroes (NBC, Mondays @ 9PM)
It's just like Lost. There are so many different stories, that sometimes you can't get them every week. Last night's episode covered like 24 hours, so it's easy to go back to the other storylines. Also, wondering what happened to those other guys is what has people coming back next week.
Yeah totally agree. Maybe zekey your not used to shows like Lost or Heroes. It's like a giant movie and they will eventually get to them, but they have to develop all the characters that are going to be involved. They are slowly connecting everyone.
Hiro is gonna cause a rift some how, and I think it when he's gonna help save those gangsters when Niki tore them up while they were in the bathroom.Comment

What I will say though is that I do think that was the weakest episode of the season. I just cant get into Micah's(forgot her name) mom's storyline. I think it may be because her powers remind me more of a mental disorder(or ex-girlfriends) rather than super human abilities aside from her increased strength.Comment

I agree with you actually, because I never really have gotten into drama oriented sitcoms. With me it was usually The Office, Family guy, and Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Re: Heroes (NBC, Mondays @ 9PM)
Like others have mentioned, the cast of characters is simply too big to have each storyline featured in every episode. If it was set up like that, it would take forever for the storylines to progress. Wasn't it until episode two or three that the Cop appeared first?
How did Nathan feel about his attempted capture and the fact that he was flying? He's leading a dual life and completely reticent to even admit it. What about the cop and how he's coping, does he have any memory of being captured?
They dedicated way too much time on DL's storyline and didn't capitalize on other story lines when they should have. Just my opinion though.Last edited by Fresh Tendrils; 10-31-2006, 04:56 PM.

Re: Heroes (NBC, Mondays @ 9PM)
I think what people need to remember is that it is always going to be like this. I expect it to hop around a lot. Keep in mind, Hiro really is going to end up being a central focus of this show. With his power, you have to know that we're going to see a lot of time bending coming up.
I like being fed the character development in small bites. It reminds me of old school serial style programming. Makes you really hang out there till the next week.
Great show. Really, really strong.Listen to The Remodeling Clay Podcast!

I do think we will begin to see these powers become more polished in the next weeks. Some of them meet next week, so maybe we'll begin to see this puzzle form.
I also believe Micah has powers.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

I'm beginning to think this as well. It only seems fitting with both of his parents possessing powers.
He seems to know too much about his mother and even tells his dad that she has a secret too.
Correct me if I'm wrong (enough people have already because I've been forgetting certain scenes), but Nikki hasn't told Micah about her powers. She never told him about the money, the guys that wanted to kill her, or even much about his father (btw, Nikki didn't seem that surprised that her husband could walk through walls, though it was "bad" Nikki at the time), but Micah seems to know everything."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: Heroes (NBC, Mondays @ 9PM)
Didn't the bad guy in The Frighteners do that to give people heart attacks? Pretty slick way to kill people, you gotta get too close though. But if you can go through people's skin, I guess maybe at the same time you could keep someone from attacking you.
