Don't you think the "fireball" type image guy could be the nuclear guy that the cop and FBI have been talking to?

The main thing I noticed (and look at on pause this morning on NBC) was the number of names on Suresh's Dad's PC. There were about 30+ names on the list with about 5 or 6 being marked as deceased. Some were recognized like Nikki, DL and Nathan... but a lot of the names were new and a lot were missing for obvious reasons (Hiro, Peter, Micah). That geeked me up more than anything.

I actually thought last night's episode was a complete let down. Save the cheerleader, save the world. It just seemed like more of the "heroes" would be involved in saving her, not just Peter, and not just a case of mistaken identity at first. To me, it seems like Sylar knows all of his victims before they die... almost like he's been scouting each of them. And if the cheerleader is so important, a villain like Sylar would know which cheerleader is the hero and which is not.

then to have a villain like Sylar get taken like that at the end... total let down.

anyway whoever they caught last night can now work for Claires dad....imagine a supervillain working for him they have the Haitian guy who can erase memories and that girl who can influence people with just words....unless Sylar can break out and take their powers as well...

True, with this show, anything is possible.

But he's wearing that watch. He's a shadowy figure. He cut the other cheerleader's head like all his other victims. All things point to this guy being Sylar, and for me, a terribly weak episode.

I was seriously hoping for an insane fight between Peter and Sylar. Seeing as Peter can emulate any powers within a certain range, I was hopin to see him start using the powers agianst sylar that sylar had already used. It would have been awesome if they had peter start slinging those locker doors back at him. I wanted a battle damnit!

It healed while she had it hidden behind her back. I remember that scene because it was gross how the dog was drinking her dripping blood while they were talking.

I thought it was Claire's mom she was hiding her hand from and not her father.

yeah me too, but I couldn't remember for sure.


They kept me guessing what happened with Hiro last night! It seemed like he still didn't prevent the girl's death since the waitresses still were sad and had that montage of her up. Crazy.

I think Sylar is gonna kill Ted and absorb his radiation/fire power. I think by the end of the season, at the end, we will see a monster battle by Peter and Sylar.

I really hope so. I don't think last night's episode was a complete let down, but I don't think it lived up the hype that the commercials created over the past 2-3 weeks.

If you think about it... Peter, even though he isn't sure how to use his powers, is the most powerful hero they have. If you have 20 heroes in the area, he has ALL their powers. You put him in a fight against Sylar and he has all those powers, and if you have Nathan around... Not only does he have them, but he can fly around like superman. Can you imagine if Peter is there with Hiro and Nathan? That means He can freeze time, fly at sylar, and hit him with anything sylar can do. That is one mean *** bastard right there lol.

Yea, that Flame-looking guy was interesting.

It seems very plausible that Claire's dad has a power. Would only make sense.

Hmm, does anyone remember the first episode where Claire hurts her hand in the garbage disposal? Her dad was standing next to her when she hid her hand behind her.

I'm trying to remember if her hand was healing while she spoke to him or if it only healed after he walked away from her.

She was talking to her mother when she messed up her hand. Her dad knows about her from watching the videotape she recorded.

The flame guy is the radioactive dude who's wife died of cancer I am pretty sure of. His power seems a lot like Sunspot's from New Mutants/X-Force if you've ever read those comics.

I thought it was a good episode. I'm very glad we didn't see too much action just yet, I love the pacing. It reminds me of Unbreakable, which I thought was one of the best "comic book" type movies and the definitive "origin" story. This way it allows for more character development. You get to delve more into the psyches of the characters and learn their motivations for what they do with their powers, and that in the end makes them more interesting, to me at least.

Take Peter for example. Of the nine episodes we've seen, in over half of them he thought he could fly. Now he knows that his power is to absorb the powers of others when he is in close proximity to them. Given that he just recently found this out, he hasn't had a lot of time to hone it and learn to control it. It would have been really unrealistic for him to just "know" how to use it and fight Sylar with his(Sylar's) own power(s). I was really happy the staff didn't take the "let's give em some action soon to satiate their short attention spans" route.

Likewise I was happy to see that Jeph Loeb, a graphic novel writer of what some would call "legendary" status was involved in the show. He's written some very good stories over the years and though he's credited as a co-producer, I have no doubt he's lending sizable influence to the writing staff. I thought it was a great episode and can't wait til next week's.

I enjoyed last nights episode, but also agree it wasn't anywhere close to the hype NBC had going for it.

I'm intrigued as to where the series goes from here.

BTW, I was just thinkina bout it... Peter did use Sylar's power last night... When Sylar was using his mind to throw the locker doors are Peter, did anyone else notice that they kept going around him? Peter was making them do that.
