    Re: Apple Mac Lovers

Outside of regular school stuff, it will only be used for email, web surfing, light Microsoft Office stuff, and then amateur video and photo stuff. My wife is pregnant and once we have the little guy/gal, we'll be taking video and pictures obviously and we want to be able to edit and make home movies and such. We arent looking to go Hollywood, but want to make some nice movies.

Ill use it at home for important things like OS (heh), but it won't be taxed through much else. Doubtful I do any gaming on it. I would think that 4GB Ram and the 2.53 Ghz i5 should be sufficient, but wanted to check.
Check out my Tampa Bay Buccaneers CFM Thread.

      Re: Apple Mac Lovers

Just posting this on my brand new Macbook Pro. Gotta say that I was a little worried about making the switch with the high price tag and new OS. But I am loving every minute of it. The free ipod, printer, and $100 off that I got for being a student helped. Gonna take me awhile to figure out all the little tips and tricks, for example I downloaded firefox and now I have a firefox icon on my desktop that I cant move for the life of me.

You can't drag it to the garbage or to any of the folders in your finder?
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

I figured it out, I was having problems with the disk image. It's like learning a new language, I'm slowly getting there. Thanks for the help!

I usually click zoom-in 3 or 4 times to make the webpages bigger before I start browsing. Is there a way to save these zoom settings?

After almost a year with my 13' MBP, I can say it's the best thing since sliced bread. I love it and even though it's not a gaming rig, I can still play FM and OOTP easily.

Now that my wife and I are converted Mac users, we're looking at getting the iMac. Does anyone here have them and which models would you recommend?

I'm looking at the 21.5 or 27. Looking for a machine with a nice HD as well as a good graphics card because this machine will be more of a gaming rig compared to my MBP

I too am looking towards getting one of the macbook pros. I would like to be able to game a little on it but I was wondering, what are the differences in graphics between the i3 and i5 in the graphical power?

I have the new mac mini hooked up to an LG 32" TV through HDMI, and I love it, the Mini is great machine, takes up a little to no power. Love it.

I have Norton for Mac. I know you really do not need one for Mac but after all the problems I had with PC, I just felt vulnerable with nothing. Just a personal preference really.

yeah, I was on facebook and got a facebook chat virus sent to me from a friend and replied to it but didnt click on anything, so I just want to see if anything happened to my computer. Nothing probably happened but I'm just being paranoid.

I also have 3 accounts on my MacBook. One for me, one for work, and one for my friends when they wanna use my computer.

The friends profile is so they dont affect anything else on my computer when sites are looked at, and i think you all know what i mean as well as other things.

So i just wanna run a scan on them to see if anything is wrong. I know by having different accounts is good for that reason and I have my main account blocking everything but the internet for the friends one.

I ran the tech tools deluxe and everything worked perfectly.

I use http://www.iantivirus.com/ Its free and does a complete scan. If you're just looking for a scan, definitely try it.
