People forget the the original iPhone was aluminum backed.
I had one, and boy that thing was solid. Just like the MBPs. A bit heavy though (compared to iPhone 4), but I don't know if that might have had to do with things other than the aluminum.

Yeah, but a person like me wants some differentiation between apple products, I don't want I iPhone that looks like a iPad, people already can see that they are running the same I os, so what would be the difference with owning a iPhone 5 and a iPad 2, I pad 2 really seems like a giant iPhone if apple Takes that style, except for u can talk on phone, and using certain apps, u can talk on iPad, not liking this
Is there any kind of app to add timestamps to every text? There is nothing more annoying them getting something like "I'll leave in 10 minutes" then losing track of time and not being able to see when they sent it.
Wish they would give an option to have it on the same line just opposite of what was sent so it doesn't add extra lines.
Jailbreak and download BiteSMS. Timestamp for EVERY message!

Uh, ok? Not sure what you're going on a bout.
Plenty of companies have "their" design. Of course Apple would keep things consistant.

My point is personally I don't want my phone to be the same as my iPad, and vice-versa, the iPad 2 should feel like a different product ( tablet), not a oversized phone or iPod, but that's my preference
I keep going back and forth on whether to jailbreak my iPhone, some interesting apps but I don't want to have problems with viruses or anything
You run the risk of installing apps that have the ability to run through your contacts or other private information.
Just be careful what you install and make sure it is something very common in the jailbreak community.
Also be mindful that firmware upgrades aren't the best from a jailbroken phone - it's best to restore and start anew.
Your best bet - turn off backups right before you jailbreak your phone and leave them off until you go back to stock firmware/not being jailbroken. You'll lose any changes from the last backup until now but you won't have to deal with space being taken up by software you can't use.
