I hate Julie.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Does that radio guy remind anybody else of Street?Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

Re: Friday Night Lights Season 2
This show needs some propulsion; it needs an storyline with some muscle. It seems like the writers, now that the Landry-Tyra murder storyline is resolved, are putting a bunch of storylines on an equal level:
-- The Taylors trying to work two jobs with an infant and the sister leaving town.
-- Smash's decision about college ball and his relationship with the white girl.
-- Saracen's relationship with the nurse.
-- Riggins trying to draw Lila back into his clutches.
-- Santiago torn between his past and his present with Buddy.
All of these storylines are solid, but none have much muscle. None have that "oomph" that characterized all of the major storylines of last season. It seemed like last year's show always put one storyline on the front burner and the rest on the back burners while still developing them, which worked very well in creating a structure for the show.
Now the show, as well as it is still written and acted, risks falling into chaos because no storyline really stands out. And it almost seems like the writers intended to create that balance, which hurts the show, in my opinion.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
Take care,

Re: Friday Night Lights Season 2
Agreed. Though I do think the Riggins/Lyla storyline needs to go away. And there's still the whole Landry/Tyra relationship, which has just been left in limbo. The last thing I remember was Landry saying how she doesn't think enough of herself, yada yada, and her crying. Was that the last thing?
I would like to see an actual football related storyline for a change. I can't even remember the last football scene from the show outside of the game against the team with the crazy coach.
Also, there seems to be more and more characters who could disappear and I wouldn't mind one bit (Julie, Lyla, Street). Speaking of disappearing, which people are seniors? I know Saracen, Landry, and Julie aren't, but isn't everyone else?Last edited by billmatic; 01-20-2008, 06:30 PM.Comment

If Julie died in a car accident or something(the character, not the actress) I wouldn't care. In fact I would probably throw a party. She is the most annoying character on the show.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

Well Saracen will still be there so they'll still have the quarterback and we might see Smash's backup since he's suspended but I don't know who else they'll have.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters.
