I'm watching again right now and there is definitely a day/night sequence before Fred is moved. I know this has probably been discussed in this thread between now and the last time I was in here.

Another interesting thing, I'm watching the DVD screener and in that, there is no scene of Fred "moving his head" when Neville drives by the first time. Interesting

The close up in that .gif isn't in the movie IIRC. I think it was done to emphasize the example.

It's the first time they zoom in on (Fred) in that scene.

At the second to last scene, with the Alpha Male bashing his head against the glass, the glass cracks into a perfect butterfly. I was wondering what prompted Neville to think about his daughter's words, and now I know.

The woman and her son were virtually useless characters. Their only purpose was getting the cure to the Vermont town, and getting Neville back to his house. The son was an absolute waste of a character.

I don't think that was her son. I believe she explains that they ran into each other on a rescue boat and them only being 2 of the 5 that survived the infection on the boat. The other 3 got caught by the living infected when they went back on land to find food, shelter and help.

Yeah, that one I noticed.

I just had no idea why he suddenly started thinking about his daughter's words in such a situation. The glass' pattern was the answer.

I really liked the movie. I didn't realize the glass cracked like a butterfly at the end. The Alpha Male definately wanted revenge for taking his woman imo.

Some holes in the movie. At the beginning of the movie they showed Will sleeping in the bathtub and with the sounds of the zombies, it made it seem like they were all over the place at night. Then later in the movie, the sun is setting during the fight/trap scene while Will is desperately trying to get to his truck and fight off the dogs. Then suddenly Will is safely home?! I thought for sure there would be a major scrap just to get home in the twilight but that might have ended up on the cutting room floor. Who knows. Very enjoyable though.

When he drove home, it was still dusk. The Dark Seekers can't come out until it was night time, however the dogs can come out during the dusk. Hence why the Alpha Male didn't go after Will with the dogs.
