Was Cloverfield any good though? Ive been trying to limit my purchases to only ones that I like, in the past I used to buy every new release every week just to watch it and own it, and Ive been burned far too many times from doing that. I heard it wasnt any good, but obviously everyones opinion is different.

I did pick up National Treasure 1 and 2 as well as Chronicles of Narnia on BR and those look to be solid titles. Next up is Dirty Harry and Signs on June 3rd.

Got a good deal for anybody that hasn't picked up National Treasure 1 and 2 yet. Target.com is showing the 39.99 bundle. You take that to Best Buy, who is having a special that if you buy both blurays, you get $10 off your order. So basically you're looking at both for $29.99 plus tax, which here works out to around $32.xx, or $16.xx per movie. Not bad at all for brand new releases. The $10 off deal ends tonight though, so hurry.

It has to do with Paramount signing onto Blu late, and they're getting their movies out now rather than earlier.

Because it was scheduled to come out on HD DVD only. I'm surprised they've turned around and getting it out on blu so quickly

Actually there are many because many (including myself) think HD-DVD was the better format. Also comparing the HD-DVD to laser disc is a bit of a reach. The only similarity is they were both discontinued.
