Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
Rented Gamer and it wasn't half bad as a popcorn flick, better than I expected. The SQ had great range but it wasn't as in your face during the battle scenes as I anticipated and the bass not that deep. It was very good but not demo worthy material to show off to your friends. Terminator Salvation is still the champ IMO as the bass is just on another level from any other BR I've heard.Already got it....totally agree. Ready for another round of demo worthy audio.
This excerpt about the audio in 'Gamer' has me
'Gamer' has laid down the gauntlet for 2010 early, with a DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 mix that is sure to be considered among the best audio mixes of the year. From demo-worthy material to power for the sake of power, this track is flat unbelievable.
The opening sequence is, without doubt, one of the craziest, and not just looney crazy, but legitimately ape**** crazy, scenes I've had the honor to sit through. There's stuff going on everywhere, from each and every channel to the other, back and forth, forward and backward, with heavy bass roars and an incredible high range to boot. Simply put, it raises the basket to unreachable heights and wraps it in barbed wire.Comment
