Wouldn't have expected anything less...
Warner Brothers have offered the high-grossing, high-dollar Inception in a smashing audiovisual presentation that's packed with a healthy number of supplements to enhance the after-viewing experience -- including a slate of features in the Extraction Mode that aren't to be missed (even if the actual mode itself can be overlooked), and a clever documentary on dreams spearheaded by Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Therefore, this three-disc package of an exciting, challenging science-fiction achievement earns DVDTalk's Collector Series marker.
My copy is home waiting for me... Gotta love Amazon PrimeComment

I already rented it (getting it for Christmas). Looked good, sounded better. Dialogue was clear as silk, unlike some problems I had in the three different theaters that I saw it in.
LFE's were superb as well, and the audio had a good "3D environment" thing to it where, if a noise came from far away, it didn't just sound quieter but it felt far away.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Just a heads up but goHastings.com is running free shipping or 50% off expedited shipping, promo code is FREESHIP. They have pretty good prices usually and this will only help. The promo is Friday only though.
EDIT- Apparently tomorrow is some sort of "Free Shipping Day" so I guess this news probably isnt quite so news worthy in the end.Last edited by The Chef; 12-16-2010, 08:20 PM.Comment

Picked up the Inception blu-ray the other day. First time I have bought a blu-ray in forever. With Netflix I hardly ever buy any movies but this movie deserved a purchase, plus it was only $20.MLB: Texas Rangers

PSA: gohastings.com has a great deal on blu rays TODAY ONLY. as you know, they charge $2.29 shipping on each disc. Today shipping is free....on top of the 10% off on used/previously viewed. Use coupon code "FREESHIP" at checkout.
I picked up 17 blu rays for $62 shipped (approx $3.60 each) Would have been over $100 any other time.Comment

I'm not shopping there again. Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
This is total bull****. I spent $120 on 18 used Blu-rays on Cyber Monday with the 25% off code (for an $80 value before shipping). I even e-mailed them and asked if there was anything that I could do with shipping and they didn't even respond.

I understand what you're saying but they had no reason to remove the shipping charges if they aren't offering free shipping. The movies are coming from their different stores.
It costs about $2 to ship a 1-2 disc blu ray first class anywhere in the US.
That's why I don't buy in bulk until days like this. That extra $2.xx adds up quickly.Comment

Today is "Free Shipping Day". Several online retailers are participating.

Besides, do you know how many of them came in Blockbuster DVD-sized cases? Thank goodness I have some empty Blu-ray cases lying around, but wow was it messy.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
I was just hoping for some sort of discount. If you must know, twelve of the movies came in the same package from the same place. I just didn't like that they didn't even respond at all. That's not very courteous of them.

Back when they first started (year or so ago), it was $2 shipping on the first disc and $1.10 on everything after. Those were the good old days.
I normally don't mess with the PVs (former rentals) and stick with used/new but at $3.xx I can't complain.
Probably going to need some extra cases.Comment

PSA #2: If you have a BestBuy reward zone membership you should check your email. Some people, including myself, received $10 or $20 gift certificates via email. Must be used by Christmas day.Last edited by GAMEC0CK2002; 12-17-2010, 10:31 PM.Comment
