They all were pretty ****ty IMO. Ratner can't direct, plain and simple.

He can't (as I so explicitly stated in the worst directors thread), but I do like the first two, poor directing or not.

The third is very 'meh,' but I still own it for the nature of owning it. I do watch it every now and then, but I can't believe some scenes they have in it.

Just a FYI: Amazon is known for lowering it's prices as it gets closer to the release. IMO, I would hold off as it'll probably get lower.

At $19, that's still more than I'd pay. (No blu ray in my collection exceeds $16)

I just pre order the complete series of Battlestar Galactica. I pretty much blindly purchased it without knowing anything about it other than friends telling me its a great show.

They figured that I loved Firefly that I would like this show a lot.

I also just picked up season 1 of True Blood, I saw two episodes liked it and hope its a new show for me to follow.

You won't regret your purchase. One of the smartest, most depressing, and most intense shows ever created. Seriously, you'll be hooked.

I hope the Blu-Ray has the mini-series as well though otherwise you're missing the backstory of season 1.
