good review Gears. i might just rent it one day instead of buying it. thanks for the heads up.Both Pacino and DeNiro are not what they used to be talent wise imo. These last few years, they have been taking way too many roles that don't fit their styles. Plus the story has been rehashed way too many times.
My take:

Huh? All games you play are blue ray discs which incorporates the same laser for games and movies. I don't see how your PS3 could burn out doing one or the other exclusively. That's akin to saying your TV may break if you game too much rather than watch TV shows.Comment

And in one of the worst decisions ever....
Setting aside the fact that there are readily available UK import versions of each individual film, this makes no sense. The first film is great, no question, but already looks somewhat dated compared to the two most recent Batman movies. The second is watchable, if only because of Michelle Pfeiffer's performance. But the third and fourth movies are two of the biggest, most steaming pieces of crap ever to grace the cinema. And we're supposed to pay a suggested retail price of $130 for the complete set? Wha?

Hopefully it will be like the DVD release of the box set and then the separate discs later.

No biggie for me because although I liked Burton's Batman when it came out, I saw it on TV last month and compared to Nolan's movies it looks like the Saturday Night Live version of Batman. I now think Jack's portrayal of the Joker was horrible. Burton should sue Nolan for making his movies look so bad now.Comment

I still love that first scene in the first Batman, though.
Anyway, Batman (89) releases on blu-ray by itself on May 5th.

yeah i use to hate when my mom and relatives used to make excuses for not wanting me to hook up my Nintendo systems to the T.V.Huh? "your going to break my tv with that thing"
"if u play it for too long your going to ruin my tv"
"turn it off now!"
and i knew it was stupid at the time but i was young so i couldnt say anything to them. how something thats made to work on the tv break it? smh"on hoping there is a PSN flash sale before Valentine's Day"

Anybody know where I can find Friday the 13th (original) on blu-ray? Amazon doesn't have it listed for some reason.

The Thing is a great transfer although the sound is inconsistent. Some parts sound great and then the explosions at the end sound really thin but the picture is steller throughout.Comment

Anyone seen Universal Soldier on blu? I bought it today for $10 but not opening it til I find a favorable review. BTW, Lionsgate always tick me off by putting those 3 security tapes on their blus and it makes your cases sticky.
Almost got the Descent instead b/c it has a uncompressed 6.1 audio mix.Comment
