Weeks, I don't know if you got to a scene that happens shortly after that one, so beware. It is minor stuff though but funny.

Snoop spreads that Stringer died begging for his life, when in fact he went out courageously. I forget the exact words, but it involved "cheese" (money), basically a complete exaggeration of what happened.

I think Simon saw that there was no point in forcing something like that into the show. They threw the scene in there to show that, just like in real life, even people who are absolute hard-asses/man's-man types at work, can have secret lives - in this case, be present at gay bars and the connotations you can take from that. There was no real reason to go into it any further just to, what, force in a scene 'proving' Rawls is gay? We saw him at the club and we can make our own opinions of what that means. No need to go back to it - that's Rawls secret life.

I just knew one of the kids from Prezbo's class were going to end up dead before season 4. I hated to see Brodie go, I liked his character.

Brodie is such an underrated character. Writers showed the entire lifespan/career arc of a street hopper through him.

Well, you don't have to use spoiler tags now, it's just being considerate. The show never got a lot of love during it's run and more and more people will discover it over time and want to talk about it. They should expect to see some spoilers coming into the thread but at the same time it doesn't really take much to hit a button to hide some major plot points.

Yeah, there's no need for spoilers. I don't think there is need for spoilers period. If you aren't caught up on a show, then maybe you shouldn't wander into a thread.

If I run into any spoilers, that's my own fault. I am surprised I know so little about the series and nothing was really spoiled going in.

I finished. What a series. If I had to rank the seasons I would probably go 4, 3, 1, 5, 2 but I enjoyed it from beginning to end. I have to let it sink in, but I would probably put The Wire right behind Breaking Bad as my favorite series.

Of all the posts in this thread, there isn't really a consensus as far as favorite seasons. I would actually rank 2 as my favorite, so go figure. A special show and vastly underrated. Definitely in my top 5.
