He was ice cold but a 100% badass. One of the most chilling scenes featured an off camera death and an "in-house" burial.

The facial expression Chris had when he picked up Marlo right after, said it all. Damn near felt bad for the Security Officer because he was literally just doing his job, lol.

I hear what you're saying, but the security guard knew who Marlo was and it was more about his pride then doing his job.

Yeah and the guard was "halfway in" crowding Marlo during the conversation and then backing off saying he wasn't disrespecting him. They couldn't pay me enough.

I get that....but again that was a really seminal moment in the series. I always took that scene to establish Marlo as the "true south" of the series. Unlike Avon, Stringer, Omar, Mayor Garcetti, etc., Marlo was portrayed truly as a villian.

I get that....but again that was a really seminal moment in the series. I always took that scene to establish Marlo as the "true south" of the series. Unlike Avon, Stringer, Omar, Mayor Garcetti, etc., Marlo was portrayed truly as a villian.

Yeah, I guess he was more of a sociopath (are there degrees of that?) then anybody.

Is this the only time Marlo almost laughed?

Herc was a bumbling idiot, everyone knew it, it was documented and yet he found himself on high profile case after high profile case. Hell, he even finessed a promotion. Incredible.

Herc is that cop other cops cover for who probably shouldn't have ever risen above patrol or even be given a badge to begin with.

Given how "real" the show is you have to wonder how many Herc's are still on the BPD.

Dude was a spaz, but he was following Herc and Carver's lead when he cold cocked that kid. Obviously they knew the limit of what they could get away with as far as roughing up people and he crossed it.

He seemed to have a moral compass that precluded him from ever being a good cop where you have to cover for someone at some point. I thought his transition to school teacher was well done and made sense after him proving himself in a detective-type roll off the streets.

He never did live down that punch though.

He was a detective, in his 30s. He knew what he was doing.

You're also leaving the big thing: he killed a guy.

Random Wire tidbit: Prez was the only cop on the show to fire his weapon in the field.
