Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread

Contrary to the impression created by a recent radio interview, The Game says he has no desire to engage in a battle of words with Jay-Z.

This comes after the Cali rapper’s comments with Phoenix radio personality Chino of 104.7 KISS FM, during which he broached the subject of beefing with Jay, making statements that appeared to be batting the former Def Jam president.

But Game clarifies that the statements were made in response to an alleged evidence of which he has no proof.

        .
During the Ozone Awards/TJs DJs Conference weekend, Big Boi invited press and others to an exclusive listening session for his upcoming Sir Lucious Left Foot album. Sponsored by Ciroc and Crunk Juice, the listening session took place at a suite in the Hilton Americas in Houston TX. As attendees filled the room, Big Boi made his way through the crowd to host the festivities.

Once some sound issues were handled, Big Boi introduced the album and played it in full (but in random order) for the jam packed room. Showing southern unity, Core DJs founder Tony Neal, Greg Street, Bun B and Big Boi’s former rival Killer Mike entered the room and exchanged pleasantries. Most noted was Killer Mike as some were curious whether or not the peace between the two was manufactured. That notion was put to rest as the two smiled and were clearly happy to be friends again.

The album will feature production from Organized Noise and Jay Beats as well a healthy helping of guests. George Clinton and Too Short join Big Boi on “For Your Sorrows,” Raekwon and Andre 3000 appear on “Royal Flush” and Mary J Blige pops in for the lead single “Something’s Gotta Give.” The song that floored those in attendance was “Tambourine” which features T.I. and Big Boi trading rhymes over a bass heavy production. Other songs include “Back Up Plan,” “Sir Lucious Left Foot Saves The Day,” “Terrified,” “Daddy Fat Sacks” and “Dubs” featuring Backbone.

Afterwards, Big Boi mentioned that the album was looking towards a late October release date and also said an Andre 3000 album was coming soon. But the most important statement was this:

“After Three Stacks and Myself get done with these two projects, we hitting the dungeon for another Outkast album so get ready.”

For the past few years beef between Hip Hop heavyweight Jay-Z and Game has been hovering but not to the point of ever boiling into a full blown feud. Even after Jay-Z denounced the rumors, Game came right back with even more verbal taunts including publicly saying "Memph Bleek can suck my dick /Beanie Sigel can suck my dick/Jay-Z can suck my dick/Roc-A-Fella can suck my dick." Now Game is back at it again years later.
"I'll kiss Jay goodbye with his own lips. I'm going to make him mad enough to where he has to say something." - Game

Man I hate listening to clean versions of albums lol

His recent mixtape should hold me over til the dirty version leaks, which shouldn't be long. Probably sometime early next week.

I listened to the first song, and then skipped through the CD, and wow and not in a good way. GZA sounds bored. Really bored. I can't imagine ever listening to it unless I hear it's amazing.

Compared to LS? Nothing in my opinion, but then again, I don't like Tical as anything more than background music, so take that for what it's worth.
