Just want to say that I'm VERY VERY VERY disappointed by Wale's work so far this year. Its a very bad move production wise for him to be on Maybach Music with the likes of someone with as little talent as Rick Ross.

Did you just put bad move production wise and Rick Ross in the same sentence? Maybach Music is a great look for Wale.Comment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Wale's verses on 600 benz and Play Your Part (can we count that as this year?) are not bad either. Please point me in the direction of what you are disappointed in, cause Wale has been quiet this year really.
Plus, let's not forget he is still managed by RocNation.Lions, Tigers, Pistons, Michigan

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Let start by saying I am a HUGE fan of More about Nothing. These were the 1st songs I heard form Wale. Afterwards I began listening to any thing Wale (over 60 songs) I could get my hands on, and loved most of it.
I was/am expecting big things from Wale this year, but so far I've been hearing subpar songs like:
Pretty B*itches
Hit it from the back
By Any Means (Wale's part was the only part I liked.)
I'd much rather hear no Rick Ross or Meek Mill on Wale's stuff, and hear him go back to the man who talks about like and important matters, ala
The War
The Kramer
Contemplate
Even if its Wrong
Rhyme of the Century
New Soul
Bittersweet
etc.Comment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
2 of the songs you mentioned were just songs he hopped on(Pretty Bitches and Hit it from the back)and aren't even his.
I don't mind hearing Meek or Ross on tracks with Wale for the simple fact that I already know he's gonna come correct on his verses.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
I've been waiting 3 years for a Dre 3K Solo, an Outkast Gangsta Grillz(which would be pointless since Drama doesn't even make them anymore)and an Outkast Album.
So to answer your question, who knows man.#RespectTheCultureComment

The way I see is, if that **** actually drops it will be a bonus, but until then I'm not expecting a damn thing.

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
This is crazy. I know there were legal issues regarding the next Outkast CD, but I need something right now. Mainstream has been a little stale this year imo.

Big Boi is working on a project. 3 Stacks needs to stop being lazy and make some music. At the very least put out a mixtape for the fans who support him even though hes stingy with the music.Comment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Big Boi just put out an album last summer and now he's working on number 2 while Dre hasn't even dropped number 1 yet?
