Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
That Freeway/Young Chris Otis freestyle was turrible. Hell, the last hot line that came from Freeway's mouth was "Put the beat on!" when Cassidy got in the *** a while back.
As for WTT....has signs of Best of Both World and Unfinished Business over it and that ain't good. Other than "Brothers" in Paris and Murder to Excellence, the rest of the album was kind of a snoozefest but I'm not about to break it down word for word/beat for beat/bass for bass like NCState did though
That Ace Hood album(who I always thought kind of underrated) is like that though.
And J-Cole, if you don't stop teasing us with these 3 track mixtapes and just release another one before Cole World drops. Sheesh, I hear a tight song and before I know it that's the end of the mixtape
@ my man 24th for bringing back my man MC Deep Thoughts. That man cracks me up coming up with these names.
Need November to hurry up and get here so Wale can drop Ambition.#RespectTheCultureComment

I may be the only one in this thread who could give a damn about J. Cole or Wale.Comment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Not a Cole fan at all, some Wale songs are crack [his spoken word bits on More About Nothing, 600 Benz, Who Don't] but most are meh to me.
Cole and Lupe really don't do anything for me. I tried. I'll keep trying, but if I'm in the mood for some different hip-hop I don't look play these guys. Mostly just play some 90's-early 2000's type stuff.Comment

For me personally I can see the potential of Cole but More About Nothing is better than anything Cole and 95% of rappers of done so I'm more interested in seeing Wale's new stuff. Cole to me had a few really nice tracks and a few nice verses sprinkled between a heap of 'meh' stuff.Comment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Never could get into Cole. I said it more than a few pages back. I tried but he just seems boring to me. It takes effort to get through his stuff. As for Wale, I've heard a few things that I kind of liked, kind of, but nothing to make me really want to hear more. One day I'll sit down and really give him an honest listen.PS: You guys are great.
