Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Lol, well right now, it's easy to forget. I am talking about historically though, and not necessarily influence either, but skill, flow, delivery etc. For example, I give someone like Salt n Pepa props for their influence, but I as far as flow and delivery, I think they pale in comparison to someone like Boss, or of course, Shawnna.PS: You guys are great.

Jean Grae and Lauryn HillOriginally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

My Life by The Game and Lil' Wayne...just heard it today on Hip-Hop Nation...gotta say I like it. I'm usually not a big fan of The Game but I like this song. Might buy LAX when it hits iTunes.Twitter

Too many features for my taste on L.A.X.....I like Game, but he'll never match the Documentary again. Actually, he claims this is his last "studio album" anyway.Comment

Round 3 of the Vibe tournament is up.
Most of them were pretty straight forward, I had a hell of a time with Lupe vs Kanye though. Lupe's got the lyrics, flow and intelligence. Kanye has the production, swagger and legendary status. Ended up going with Lupe. It was really tough.Comment

Must've missed Chappelle's Block Party. Haven't heard her rap anything "new" though.
Most definitely. Hands down my favorite female hip hop artist of all times. Props to Latifah and Lyte too.Comment
