    Re: Fringe anyone?

Yes, read the same about Lincoln and glad about it. He's been a great addition to the cast. I'm sure we'll see more of his Agent in the regular universe.

Interesting thought on Bell and Walter possibly causing a rift in the universes long before Walter picked up Peter. I'm going to take that one step further and combine that with the thoughts of another poster on the Observers.

What if no one created the rift, the tear? What if it was always going to happen and what the Observers did is create a scenario - in this case, Walter grabbing Peter from the alternate universe (or actually, the Observer stepping in and saving Peter from drowning) - so that both Walter and Walternate could be forced to work together to fix the problem?

Peter was important because they knew both men shared only two things: the intelligence to fix the rift and the love for their son.

Pretty funny and I was going to say it was merely an attempt at a viral ad.......until about 3:35. Not sure what's going to be up with that.

Funny stuff indeed. Love the people they brought in for it.

The end definitely piqued my interest in Season 4. Man, let the theories begin.

Has anyone seen the Past, Present, Future segments on youtube?

They are a refresher on the three seasons thus far which I imagine would be extremely helpful after a long break. Plus, I like that when they did these for Lost, they would occasionally mention things you overlooked the first or second time through.

Fringe has this way of giving you this huge plot twist and then sorta sweeping it under the rug while other things happen.

I'd be upset that little was said about Peter, but we've been through this before. They will somehow find a way to tell a one hour story while adding little nuggets surrounding the season story.

Real curious to know how this is resolved. If that history is erased, how do you go back to it?

Watched the episode last night. It was good. Like the new agent. Very curious as to when and how they bring Peter back.

Yeah that man is definitely Peter.

I'm just interested in knowing how he convinces them who he is. Well, maybe it isn't that crazy. Walter will likely be convinced quickly. I expect Olivia to challenge the possibility.

That's assuming it even goes that route. September is probably going to end up helping.

John Noble and Anna Torv ballin out of control as usual, Peter stuck in Limbo, September going rogue again. Lincoln Lee with a very auspicious "debut".

Welcome back Fringe, how I've missed thee.

Great episode, though I had the blue energy totally pegged as Peter early, when Walter was talking about his camera array.

Still have to wonder where they are going, and if they have an exit strategy in the ever more likely event this is the last season.

                          Re: Fringe anyone?

I doubt they've written all the episodes for this season and FOX did give them a full season pickup (whether it will air on television is another question, but they'll produce them for sure). I'm going to assume that they are preparing for an exit strategy with the weak ratings.

There are people in this world that enjoy when a show is canceled (for whatever reason) but I don't worry about it because those people don't realize how much FOX makes from Fringe DVD sales. It really is one of the most watched unwatched shows. I suspect most people just watch it at their own pace. Perhaps the pacing of the show makes it easier for most fans to want to wait for the DVD or watch it online in one lump.

Anyway, I loved this episode and it's another example to me why I can't understand how people do not enjoy this show. I think it's better than LOST. I know that might be taboo to a lot of people (and I loved LOST), but Fringe has really grown into that sort of show for me. LOST will always have the mysteries and this sense of wanting to know more, but Fringe feels more complete and better written.

This past episode makes me want more. Really interested in seeing how they figure this out. Of course, I now wonder what's next for the show? I guess Peter comes back and eventually they find a way to repair both universes.

Is there anything else that needs to be resolved? All of that seems possible in this season and would close the series.

As a side note: I enjoy the subtle differences we are seeing in the corrected timeline. Things like Astrid not knowing about the trials; Walter being afraid of the outside world (something I think I recall Peter helping him cope with); Olivia having known Nina Sharp as far back as high school if not earlier; Walter and Nina NOT having a close relationship; and Colonel Broyles being alive (I assume because Olivia was never kidnapped - though that presents the next question: How did the personnel from the alternate universe arive if Peter never existed to bring them together? That's my next big question. Probably will get the answer when they figure out who Peter is).

edit: Also forgot to add an interesting one like Olivia having killed her stepfather in the corrected timeline. In the original timeline, Olivia shot her stepfather, but he recovered from the wounds and is still out there "watching" her.

Enjoyed the last episode. Pretty predictable, but the pacing and acting was top notched, as usual. Walter is easily my favorite character.

This episode I asked myself how he hasn't been nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Emmy yet. He did win a Saturn for the same category in 2010.

It brings up more questions, like how did they use the machine in the new timeline if it relied on Peter's DNA and he had been dead twice in universe A for over a decade and missing from universe B for the same time frame? Although I don't think it really created a new timeline (and two completely new universes), it just kind of nudged Peter slightly out of the timeline starting from the frozen lake, so everything he did he still did, just nobody saw or remembered him. So he did still step into the machine.

As for how Col. Broyles is still alive, we can only assume that things just happened differently. We do know that Olivia was kidnapped and replace, the two Olivia's have talked about it (I remember Bolivia saying something about Olivia and Olivia saying something to the effect of just because you walked in my shoes don't presume to know me). I would assume that Olivia was never rescued/Bolivia never found out because it seems as though Olivia doesn't know about her powers, so when the device was used and the bridge constructed, they entered into a truce and returning the two to their proper universe was part of that deal.

I also wonder if William Bell is still alive.

The major question I have left is who the watchers really are and what they are really up to.
