I hope it doesn't borrow too heavily from the Adjustment Bureau. Meaning that the observers become more than just observers and try to keep Peter and Olivia apart. IMO, the observers are up to something.

Ah I did forget that Olivia did mention something about Bolivia being in her shoes but even that is very vague.

I guess the observers are up to their own tricks but I don't think it's more than correcting things.

Here's something: We know that our favorite Observer interfered when he saved Peter. We know that he erased Peter to self correct the time line. And we know that somehow The Observers must allow Peter to live (assuming Fringe goes that route).

So theyll need a valid reason. I keep thinking back to the Observer interrupting Walternate when he could have found Peter's cure. So couldn't it be explained in someway that Peter was meant to live and the interference at the Lake was the original correcting of the time line?

I'm really not sure about the original interference with Walternate. The observers had said that they were trying to correct the one observer's mistake, but never specified what his mistake was (interrupting Walternate or saving Peter from the lake).

The observer recently built that device to completely erase Peter, why he didn't is unknown but I think it's a personal flaw that he starts to empathize too much with his subjects (episode where Olivia helps observer save a woman from other observers) so he couldn't bring himself to do it.

We can assume the observers are here for the events in fringe, specifically the weakened barrier between universes since that is the crux of the show. Are they trying to fix that incident? Just observe? Where do they come from? It seems the observers can travel in time (someone took the machine and instructions back in time), but that really doesn't answer anything.

The Fringe twitter account seems to indicate the episodes will just shift:

Set your alarm for next FRI 11/4 at 9/8c! Due to baseball, <s class="hash">#</s>fringe will not air tonight. Watch this teaser:

If you read through this thread then you'll see that there are a few of us who are die hard Fringe viewers.

Not to put a downer on things, but all Fringe fans should really savior these last few episodes because it's probable that these are the last episodes of the series.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

It sucks to admit but I've come to that realization.

It's a shame as it has been one of my favorite shows of all time. I still hate the fact they moved it to Friday as that was the sign it was just about done.

Well I did read that this season would serve well as a series finale, yet bring up enough stuff to possibly go foward with another.

Either way can't wait till it comes back.

We still have three on the DVR, but I'm sure it's the end. Hopefully it's tied up in a satisfactory way.

It may get 1 more season so it can go into syndication. They gave this season away and might do the same for the next if it happens.

Back to Where You've Never Been.. I love the episode titles!

I wouldn't be surprised if FOX gave it a shortened 13 episode 5th season to push the series to 100 episodes for more syndication $..Plus it does well overseas. Another network picking it up is highly unlikely because it's expensive to produce and doesn't really fit on any of the other networks.

I think best we can hope for is a shortened 5th season but at worst we still got 2/3 of this season left, hardly any repeats thanks to the 2 month break and the producers word that it will have a satisfying series finale if this does turn out to be the last season.
