Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Because it wasn't very coherent.
SpoilerIf the Fallen was around so long, why did he just act now? How was it that he was able to suddenly leave Cybertron after Prime died when he looked like he was on the verge of death scenes before?
How is Prime a descendant of the original Primes and Megatron not when technically they both ruled Cybertron.
Where did all those damn Decepticons come from when Star Scream admitted that they didn't have enough energon to sustain any of those hatchlings.SpoilerFallen only acted when he did because, as they mentioned alot, only a Prime could defeat him. Assuming he was scared to act while Optimus Prime was alive, he took his opportunity when Megatron killed him. Also, that wasn't Cybertron. Cybertron is destroyed.
For Megatron, perhaps Wikipedia or some other source would help. I'm not fully-versed on the backstory although I know my fair-share.
Lastly, all those darn Decepticons. Remember, alot of the bots left Cybertron, both Autobots and Decepticons. All those "new" ones were basically survivors. Starscream was basically trying to create new Decepticons but couldn't because of the lack of Energon.
My verdict in a few simple words: It was a pretty cool and enjoyable movie. It didn't have the same magic as the first one did but I still enjoyed watching it.
I kinda didn't like how they just made Mikaela (Megan Fox) more slutty though. It was nice eye-candy but they could've done more with the character. At least (for me anyway) Sam had some progression. Also,Spoilerthat dream sequence with the Primes while they were trying to revive Sam was unintentionally hilarious.
Can't wait to watch it again on IMAX.Comment

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Very true. Having two jive-talking gold-teethed robots is offensive if you ask me. And don't try to put me in the category of "america's sad future" and whatnot.Huge Fan of the New Orleans Saints & New Orleans Pelicans!!!!!!!!!!!!!Comment

I still felt as if the story was very poor and even worst poorly told
The Megan Fox thing, i actually didn't see it being as bad as people are making it out to be. Yes she was a little more revealing, but it definitely didn't take away from the already poor plot. She was backdrop eye candyComment

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
It is a part of Transformers lore though if you look it up.
As for the story, people will just agree to disagree. It wasn't great by any means but it was good enough for me.Comment

SpoilerYep, I agree because as mentioned, he was portrayed way too weakly in the first.
Also loved the Optimus Prime trash talk when he was beating up on everyone.Comment

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
How come people like you instantly think robots like Jazz and the Twins were black? You are the problem with today's world.

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
That's ridiculous. What of the others throughout the film? The most blatant one to me being the buck-toothed guy in the deli? What was the point of that?

I slightly remember this scene as I saw the movie at midnight. What happened and what stereotype did you instantly think of when you saw this?Comment

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
The sad thing is, if it weren't for them being robots this would even be a big deal. I can't even begin to count how many movies I've seen with steroetypes in them, but not once was a big deal made about any of them.
Who cares if they gave the robots personalities? The movie would be extremely boring if they all acted/sounded the same. I don't hear people complaining about the British accent on the one robot, or the northern accent on the other. People just want something else to complain about. A lot ot the people making a big deal about it are probably also in the group of Michael Bay haters that will attack anything that they think makes his movie look bad.Fan of....

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Sector 7 guy told the dude to do something and he just stood there with his big-*** tooth hanging out of his mouth and S7 yelled at him again. The whole character was ridiculous and obviously not meant for anything other then juvenile laughs. Blaming the audience for "connecting" these characters to stereotypes is beyond ridiculous. Bay clearly had reasons for including these characters and their specific traits in his film to provide cheap, immature and unintelligent laughs. Just because a person can see what stereotype Bay is pushing towards doesn't mean the person actually believes in the stereotype.

There's plenty of negatives to take it down, people don't need to bring up the "comedic" bits.

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
I'm Mexican...err..Mexican-American errr..Hispanic/Latino/Chicano whatever the hell you wanna call me. And after awhile it does get old seeing everyone "of us" with a thick accent, or working in the janitorial/landscaping sciences. I have a large family (duh.) and none of us work in either capacity. Not to disrespect either as I don't have the cajones to do either one.
But when I saw "the gold tooth" and the "can't read" parts, it was like aim a little higher, not much...but a little higher than that.Comment
