Great storytelling, great acting, and a great score. And honestly, I lot of the things some of you didn't like (flashbacks), I thought were very well done.

Just a phenomenal movie IMO, and my favorite trilogy ever.
    agreed I loved the flashbacks....

And I thought Jmood and 13 were being nitpicky, but damn.

I hate attempting to conjecture things in a real world, logical manner when its a movie involving a guy dressing up as a Bat, riding in a tank that hops across rooftops, and etc etc.

Some valid things brought up in there, but in the end still nothing that bugs me all too much.

Agreed, some valid points, but I think the article is reaching a great distance for a lot of them.

One complaint I've seen is that the score is too overbearing and loud. I actually really liked that it was. I've always loved the score for this trilogy, and I thought it really added a sense of urgency to everything. I was feeling so stressed out the first time I was watching the movie unfold, and the music was one of the reasons why.

Like I said in my long-winded set of impressions, Nolan used music to perfection in Inception. It was in the middle of the film as they were planning the job, and they sequenced through what felt like a "montage" of scenes with one uninterrupted score, demonstrating how they will pull off everything. It works perfectly in that instance.

In The Dark Knight Rises, they put together a montage of scenes very early in the film, and as I called it, this is an example of poor film-writing. I can almost guarantee you that Nolan did not write it this way, and he extended the scenes and wrote much more complete transitions. When it came down to truncating time, this is where he deemed it most necessary, and it certainly added stress for viewers trying to keep up with the plot's build.

Watched it again yesterday.. Still hear "Bane is awesome, awesome" for the Rise chants.. Can't get it out of my head.. Every time I heard the beat start up and/or the chants, I just kept saying to myself "Bane is awe-some, awe-some.. Bane is awe-some, awe-some"..

That article summed up most of my feelings for this movie. Still stand by my 6/10 for this movie after seeing it again today. It's just downright sloppy for Nolan.

I think part of the reason I enjoyed this and Batman: Begins more than TDK was that Bruce Wayne was more Bruce than Batman. In TDK it was mostly about stopping a villain and not the story of Bruce Wayne.

However, this is not saying TDK didn't have background story because Rachel dieing was very impactful
