Does anyone recall if Rousseau ever saw Jin? If so, shouldn't she have a memory of him and recognize him when she sees him?

Either way, I'm glad we're seeing her story. I honestly thought we'd never see it!

One blurb, call me crazy, but Rousseau's comment doesn't mess up the continuity. Jin could have easily ducked into the forest when smoky was hauling Montand down...so her comment of "you disappeared" might have just explained that possibility. I don't think it ****s with the continuity.

If Sawyer had shot Kate she would have died in the "off-island present". My BIG question is did Rousseau ever say a single line to Jin and/or Sun before...and what was it? She has to know OF Jin in the present before she was killed, so what was her reaction?

As for the Survivors on the island, it's simply a matter of three years passing from WHEN they were (the rope into the ground) until when they see the Oceanic six. Since the island moved from what, 2005/2006 plus three for the off-island folks, when they return, the island can theoretically be in whatever time it was in when Locke moved the wheel, right? So three years (or decades) plus (since they've been gone off island) could create some major WTF moments when the return! Sure Sun will see Jin, and Jin will know that they are married, but everything else might be a cluster ****.

Yeah...I lost my train of thought...sorry. The show rocks regardless, and I can't wait to watch the whole damn thing in Winter 2010.

How do you know Kate would have died in the off island present? How? Nose Bleed, Blurred Vision, Fall down dead?

I am sure the island will be back in alignment with the currentr time of the outside world. I think thats what symbolically the wheel being off kilter was referring to.

What was the big to do about only Locke being the one to turn the wheel, but Ben grabbed the glory.

OK, one last thing that I've been thinking about....

Remember when Locke and Boone found the drug plane and Locke started losing the power to walk?

OK look at where Ethen shot him? It was by the plane. Was that Coincidence that a shot in the leg by Ethan was the same spot where he lost the ability to walk?

Locke wasn't really showing the gunshot in this episode, but he busted the heck out of his leg when he fell down the wheel well. Was this the islands way of pushing him back to the outside world unable to walk?

The hieroglyphs ruin is confusing as well. If the arm was still there on the ground, does that mean that a short amount of time passed from when that happened to where Jin flashed forward too?



Yep remember when jin jumped and then he went to the beach then Rousio ( bad spelling ) shot the team member she was still pregnant. So it was a short time jump.

How would Kate have died? Easy, she would have faded to nothingness like Marty McFly in 'Back to the Future'. She had died in the past yet existed in the present, which was changed, and she would have faded away as the timeline corrected itself.

Her "death" would not have affected anyone, save Aaron, who is not her son. I believe that Sawyer would have known this and that is why he didn't talk to her or interfere in the birthing scene he witnessed. As Faraday said...time flows on a line and they aren't to interfere.

She would have the memory NOW, just like Desmond did when he woke up - however, she is dead; so I guess that means no new memories for her.

Cool, that's absolutely right. Makes sense.

That also explains why when Locke met Ethan "in the past" Ethan did not recognize him when they first got on the island.

At least this portion of the story is without holes.

Is there any chance that Faraday is implanting any of these thoughts into people's heads and their bodies themselves aren't experiencing this stuff?

That was a girl named Eloise - who he did experiments on I think. Which is also the name of his mom....and the rat he used in testing.

But, Jin didn't run away. He time jumps in front of her. She clearly says to him, "What is wrong?" while Jin is holding his hands to his head in pain.

He disappeared.

It does......

She saw Jin disappear at point X.

At Point X+1 she sees Jin and mentions to him that he disappeared.

What that means is that the Losties aren't just jumping from point to point with no consequence on the future. She shot at Jin because she was accusing him of using the Temples magic powers. They are altering the future actions. So for example, in theory, Jin could do something to Rousseau to get her to kill Alpert or Widmore or Whomever for example. He flashes away, Now the dead Rousseau(prior to her death in her 40's) goes and does the killing and alters history. Possibly.

Its significant because that totally disputes what Faraday talks about it being a one way street. Rousseau is now traveling forward in time with her knowledge of Jin and taking actions possibly that could re-write history. And that doesn't make sense. History should be history that cannot be changed.

So if here we are on February 13th, 2009 and Pared goes back in time and Kills Yankee Pride in 2006, Yankees post still exist on this board. I have recollection of them. Yankee should still be alive today or perhaps his brain hemorrages and a smoke monster destroys him today at the precise moment he no longer exits in todays time because now there is a rift in time, but it wouldn't delete his existance from 2006, the time Pared killed him until now.

This is where there is a hole in the story now. Because now you Have Rousseau doing who knows what regardless of if time travelers are with her or not. In theory She's off doing alternate things in history as if history is a living, breathing layer underneath the present. In otherwords, in opens history up to a butterfly effect the same way it would if the common theory of time travel held true. Like what would happen if George Washinton was never born.

The Faraday theory talks about this continual line where you really can't effect the future, but its starting to contradict itself.
