The Jennifer Aniston/Friends Song outtake was hands down my favorite. Laughed pretty hard at that one.

Captain Phillips - Holy ****. I am blown away. I'm not the biggest Tom Hanks fan, but this might be my favorite movie of his (a title which had been held by Apollo 13 before). Just a powerful movie with some great performances.

Was planning on seeing Wolf of Wall Street this past weekend but it was sold out.

Saw American Hustle instead. Pretty damn good backup plan; I can see why it's been nominated, really enjoyed it. Quite an all-star cast.

Rewatched Mute Witness(1995) Set in Russia....two sisters working on a horror/slasher film.....one is mute and witness a snuff film that is shot on the set after hours.
Pretty good to kill some time.

Also saw Open Grave....not bad either. The actor from District 9(Sharlto Copley) and a few others you will recognize.
            A bit different.

Ride Along: 4/10. I think I chuckled like 3 times throughout the whole movie. Premise was dumb, plot predictable, acting was bad. Ice Cube, in particular, was awful. He seemed totally disinterested (think Bradley Cooper in Hangover 3). He might as well have been holding his script on camera.

I watched a tv movie from 1981 called The Miracle Of Kathy Miller. I hadn't scene it in quite awhile. It is about a young girl named Kathy Miller played by Helen Hunt who is hit by a car and struggles to recover from her head trauma. It is a sad but at the same time an uplifting movie. I even got teary eyed seeing what this poor girl went through.

Man of Steel - I thought it was good but was a little underwhelmed. Not quite sure why, maybe I just wasn't in the movie mood or maybe I was comparing it to Superman Returns which I really enjoyed but I never got fully immersed in the movie.

                    This Is The End-

Glad I didn't waste the money to watch this in theaters but it was ok. Felt like it started off fairly funny with enough cheap laughs to keep me watching. Just a bunch of actors making fun of themselves and their spoiled lives which I enjoy. I did feel like it drug on and they got real desperate and too far off the humor path towards the end of the movie when the apocalypse stuff really started happening.

                      Pleasure Palace (1980)

Interesting TV movie starring Omar Sharif and Hope Lange. Sharif is a world famous gambler who's enlisted by Lange who owns Caesar's Palace and needs his help in order to save the casino from being bought out from under her. There's more to it but that's the general gist of the story.

The interesting part though is that this teleplay is basically a western, to the point that it's explicitly compared to westerns by Sharif's character! I write more about this but it's well done when you look at it through those lens. The acting is fairly decent and it kept my interest. Sharif seemed to phone it in a bit but even a half interested Sharif playing a suave type is well worth seeing.

                          Warm Bodies

Remember seeing previews and thinking Twilight with zombies? No thank you. To my surprise I did not completely hate it. Actually, I liked it. No really, I did like it. There was enough cheese to keep me from wondering off from the typical teenage love story. The cheese factor made me chuckle throughout (Not in a bad way either. The movie never felt like it was trying to take itself too serious.), soundtrack was near perfect too. Helped with the vibe everyone involved were shooting for, at least this is what I came away feeling. And I say this is most of my movie reviews, but run time is a make or break issue for me. Movie was kept at a bit over 90 minutes. And for that, I thank them. That extra 15-20 of filler so many films add would have ruined the experience.

So there you have it. I'm on record to admitting to enjoying Warm Bodies.

I thought this was a really good movie and had a similar initial reaction. Had no interest in seeing it, but was really glad I got dragged along to it. Pleasantly surprised.
