Are people THAT dumb? I've seen the marketing for that movie and knew the title. I guess the tag line was just TOO catchy.

      Or people are idiots.

People are pretty much idiots when it came to this. I have no idea how they can't separate a tagline from a title. I'm surprised when the Carrie remake came out we didn't get a lot of people lining up to the theater saying: "Can I get two tickets for 'You Know Her Name'?"

Well, Edge of Tomorrow is a horrendous name to start with.... it sounds like a soap opera title.

The original title was All You Need Is Kill, which would have been way better.

They could have done a way better trailer is what I'm saying. They could have marketed this movie hard to gamers but chose not to. Personally I would have put in some comedy because the movie was funny on top of being awesome.

Saw Don't Breathe at the theater with my wife. We both really enjoyed it. Just don't think about the ending too much.

I just watched the unrated cut of Knocked Up again. I think I have seen this movie like 10 times or more.

I won't get all into it as I am sure most of us have seen this movie. I just really think this is Apatow's best work. I still laugh all the time throughout the viewing. The banter between the friends, the Rudd/Mann family dynamics, Heigl pulling off a "really good looking but still approachable" look. The movie just works, and it doesn't have some of the overstuffed/overcooked elements of Apatow's other films, or more recent films I should say

(FTR - I like ALL of Apatow's stuff, just feel like more recent efforts have had some flaws not present in his early work)

Watched Hot Shots (Charlie Sheen) the other night with the wife, such a classic movie. I also bought Part Deux and will probably watch that tomorrow. I can't remember which one I thought was funnier when I saw them as a kid, but Hot Shots was still ****ing hilarious.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?

I am a real horror movie buff. So let me preface this post with that. Horror is no doubt my favorite genre of movies. I love all the sub genre's too. Slasher, ghost, super natural, sci-fi, gore etc.

With that being said I watched Cannibal Holocaust. Uncut. First of all the blue ray transfer was fantastic. For such an old, low budget film it was pretty remarkable. The audio was also excellent. I used my Sony Golds as I watched this in my den on my PS4 really late on Saturday night. I made sure my wife and son we long passed out. And for good reason. This was touted as one of the most controversial films in horror movie history.

I became curious about this film after seeing Eli Roth's latest film titled the Green Inferno. My wife sat through that one with me and was in disgust as well as shock as we watched it unfold. It was brutal.

Let me just preface this by saying after I had finished the film I felt really disgusted and ashamed I actually watched this. The film is an awful exploitation movie of the highest order. Horrendous real life animal cruelty that simply disgusted me to no end. I could not believe I was watching some of these scenes. Just too many liberties were taken with rape, animal cruelty and some other unspeakable horrors. This film was exactly as advertised. As bad as it was......I could not stop watching.

The acting was extremely bad. So much so I laughed in pure b flick joy. I felt the first half of the film was actually far better than when they actually found the lost footage of the 4 film makers who set out into the "Green Inferno" in South America (The Amazon) in search of a couple of well known warring cannibal tribes. And you found yourself rooting for the Cannibals after seeing the disgusting liberties the 4 film crew people took as they set out on their film adventure. They were all (save for the girl) awful people.

It is a must see film if you are a hardcore gore, low budget horror buff. It is a shocking and tragic film and the sound track is pretty damn amazing (and perfectly transports you back to 1979). I will warn you though. If you have a weak stomach and can't handle some animal cruelty (the animals involved are pigs, muskrats, and a huge Turtle in what was easily the most disgusting scene I think I have ever seen in my life) then stay far far away from this shocking, yet genre setting film. This is the first true lost footage horror movie ever made and it is very effective, highly disturbing and a shocker. It's so bad I hid the box so my son will never find this. He watches a lot of horror films with me but I will never let him sniff this till he is in high school.

                                2.5 out of 4 stars.
