Shawshank is my favorite movie of all time. 1994 was a great year, Shawshank Redemption, Pulp Fiction, Forrest Gump, Lion King. I've had heated debates about this year and what movie was the best.

Caught the Manchurian Candidate on Netflix last night. Shed light on some of the thoughts i've been having about technology and the future. The human race discoveries can be intriguing as well as disturbing. Technology incorporated with psychology is terrifying to me. Movie re-enforced my dread of having to choose between being human or robot in the future.

Watched Passengers & Sing in 4K a couple nights ago. Regarding Passengers, the stars in 4K were just amazing. Loved the colors on Sing, great with Atmos sound too.

                Shrek
It had been a while since I watched this. So long in fact I still had my original DVD and opted to upgrade to blu-ray finally. The animation is a little outdated due to (I'm assuming) a smaller budget than other major CGI films at the time (ie: Pixar), but its still just as hilarious as I remember it being. John Lithgow is so underrated.

Wasn't there a mini-series done that was approved by King? I think it was on Sci-Fi.

Just finished off Conspiracy theory. Mel Gibson was pretty convincing as a nutty assassin lol. More Manchurian candidate ish. Pretty creepy are the possibilities I'd say.

I wonder what's next for me

All 4 great great movies. But Shawshank is my all time favorite film across all genres.

That line always gets me. I don't know why... probably just the personification imagery of a hooved animal cooking.

This isn't me, but I got to show about 30 of my students Memento today after school.

One thing that will never get beyond me is showing people this film for the first time. Holy wow... hearing their reaction after gave me all the feels!

I think it's great that I got to hold silent about the film for so long, but kind of slowly hype it up in certain ways (believe it or not, I tied it into math as an extra credit project for them). We had an hour-long discussion after the film was over. I'm just now typing about this.

For those who haven't seen this film, shame on ya'll!

Memento is brilliant and extremely clever.

I enjoyed Inception too but not nearly as much. It was trying to be a little too clever and tipped to the side of convoluted, but still got points for concept and a great cast.
