But everyone else that understood what he meant didn't find it necessary to correct him.Last edited by TripleCrown9; 07-22-2018, 11:46 AM.Boston Red Sox

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Well well well, two can play this game...
I haven't heard that, but strangely enough some dude named Tarantino is doing something similar...
By the way, I'm just ****ing with you.
To contribute to the thread at hand, I was watching Atomic Blonde late Thursday night and had to turn it off to go to sleep, but I'm about an hour in and so far it is pretty disappointing. I certainly will finish it though.Last edited by Blzer; 07-22-2018, 12:31 PM.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Hard to take your list of DiCaprio films seriously when you space out even writing his name!
Inglourious. C'mon man.
Okay, what?? Do you think "Ragnarok" is Thor's last name or something? What if I said Thor The Dark World? That sounds like "Thor" is a verb that is being done on The Dark World. We need the colon, guy. Thor: Ragnarok It's called a subtitle!. I almost thought you were talking about a different movie there for a second.

Mission: Impossible - Fallout
My full, spoiler-free review is in its own thread:
https://forums.operationsports.com/f...post2049437727
The tl;dr version is below:
Fallout is a direct sequel to Rogue Nation that pulls the reins on the usage of future technology in favor of kick-*** stunt work by the ageless wonder himself: Tom Cruise. The story and characters build up to any action points that sacrifice sleek and stylish blockbuster entertainment for raw and gritty impact moments with a score that punches and lets off in a timely manner.
It settles on more dark and serious tones but is not without throwing in light one-liners and breaking the action for some comedic relief. It is not the most impossible mission of them all, but much like the third film there is enough emotional weight in there to make it mean just as much should the crew fail. Besides, there was really only one places that this film needed to succeed, and it was with Henry Cavill's mustache, which tickled the audience to applause by the time the credits rolled.
Overall, it was a great job by writer/director Christopher McQuarrie, who has rightly earned to steer the ship of this franchise wherever he wants to take it. Just please first try and see Rogue Nation if you get the chance, if not III and Ghost Protocol before that.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
The Last Movie Star. Burt Reynolds in a quasi-retrospective of himself and his acting career, so it would seem. Lots of touching moments. Unsure if this is his actual depiction of his own insights about the above, but it certainly seems that way. I didn't realize until after I watched this and looked at some of the related sections on Amazon Prime, but he turned town the roles for both Die Hard and as Hans Solo. And, of course, we all knew that he regarded Sally Field as his one, true love. This movie had some sad and heart-warming scenes. Definitely worth a look.
Not a huge spoiler, but:
SpoilerThere were a couple of scenes where they super-imposed him with his earlier acting self in Smokey and Deliverance. It was well done.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Slightly off topic but.....MoviePass is dead. Ran out of money. Only eticket theaters still working. I had a eticket for Mission Impossible but wasn't willing to pay $10 for parking. (downtown Charlotte, NC)
Barring a miracle, Eigth Grade was my last flick. ..Comment
