Re: What movies have you seen recently?
I am thinking of picking up Leon: The Professional extended cut also included is the theatrical included on blu-ray for $14.99. Anyone here see and enjoy the film as I have never seen it but do like those these types of movies. The latest movie I saw was Bridesmaids which I did not enjoy at all. I liked most of the cast going in but the banter between the characters was to drawn out and just not funny to me."If you don't have anything good to say, say it often"- Ed the sockComment

Sent from my mobile device."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

I finally got around to Xmen First Class. Awesome movie. Maybe the best comic movies ever behind the couple last Batman movies. The Wolverine cameo was kinda cool. I did think the Banshee character was kind of stupid but no real complaints.Gamertag and PSN Mrclutch1013

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Ok thanks I'll probably pick it up soon as it's not that much. I have always known about the film but never got around to watching it for some reason. Is the extended version superior to the theatrical?"If you don't have anything good to say, say it often"- Ed the sockComment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Stick with the extended version.

Has it ever been not? You're probably not in for what you think you are either. It's as more about the relationship with the man and girl than it is the hitman stuff.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
For the most part extended versions are usually better but their are times when they hurt the film more than help it. I didn't like Zombie's Halloween but I preferred the theatrical version better. Also the theatrical ending to the Exorcist is better to me than the extended version."If you don't have anything good to say, say it often"- Ed the sockComment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Evil Dead - I hadn't seen the movie in a couple years, so I figured I'd start off Horror Movie Month with it and I have to say its better than I actually remembered. Sure, the acting and dialogue is a little stiff at times, but the horror elements are all awesome. It is a creepy movie in ways that are just kind of ridiculous, but still end up working (the first..."attack" always creeps me out). It's a movie that on paper would probably just be a funny horror movie, but it is comical and creepy. The kind of creepy that you let out that little nervous laugh. Bill Campbell is of course awesome and his naivity through the whole thing lends itself to the comic side of things. All of Raimi's tricks that he been builds on from the start create a tangible atmosphere of paranoia once Ash is left alone. A great movie that is creepy and really ****ed up on a dark comedy level despite the obviously limited production budget.

I watched Scream 4. Loved it,mostly. Wasn't too big on the end but otherwise it was great. I'm not sure how it's possible but for much of it Courtney Cox looks better than Neve Campbell.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Drive-9.0
Movie had such an 80s feel to it, it really sort of helped it be different from the typical movies we get now like The Transporter. Even the sound track screamed 80s and was pretty good actually.
I've always liked Ryan Gosling, he's been a terrific actor even since his days as "Young Hercules" back in the Fox-kids day. He's really matured and has taken some excellent roles.
On the movie, the director did a very interesting job with some of the scenes, it felt like some scenes borrowed from "80s horror" movies as well with the camera shots and stills. Really can't stay enough good things about this movie. Definitely not a movie for everyone, its not the standard drive, shoot and kill movie. You sort of have to have a liking to the retro-ness it hasComment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Just saw the new Transformers & as big of a fan of CG that I am I didnt think the movie was all that great. The story was kinda bland to me. 7/10"In a year that has been so improbable, the impossible has happened." - Vin Scully
