Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Prophecy Uprising - Dumb movie with C rated actors. None of the original cast members from any of the previous movies was in it. Thing was just horrible for a 2 hour long movie. Highly disappointed.Comment

On Friday Night starting at 8pm, Encore is playing the LOTR triology in its entirety extended versions in HD. I will like them when I watch them, and so will you. I can't believe how much material was included in these extended versions.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

I have the blu-rays, but I would probably end up watching it on cable if I stumbled upon that haha.

Orphan: Nice twist at the end, but the movie was ruined by the extremely dumb characters. Overall it was decent but tedious.
Also the more I see of Vera Farmiga the more I like. I think I'm developing a little crush.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Makes me wonder if I want to see Street Kings 2. I just noticed that thing was on the shelf at BBY for $9.99. I was always hoping they'd make a sequel, but with the original cast. Instead it's Ray Liotta, a bunch of nobodies, and has zero relation to the original film. Plus, it's supposedly overall cheap production and writing. I hate these kinds of sequels.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
I've already seen it a few times now, but I just watched my copy of Cars 2 in 3D for the first time. It looked clean, better than Toy Story 3 in 3D IMO (even with the letterbox black bars).Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Never seen a movie with her that I didn't like. The Departed, Up in the Air, Source Code, all good movies. GREAT movies, in the case of the first two.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
I've seen a bunch of movies in the last couple weeks, been on a bit of an action film kick.
New Releases:
Immortals - Really good action movie, great visuals, and a good story. I still prefer 300 though for the acting/dialog/action/story
Harold and Kumar Christmas - Funny pretty much the entire way through, but it lacked any real defining moments that had me rolling. Funny but not quite up to the standard set by the first two.
Older movies:
Mulan - I was told recently to go watch this when I was bored, I'm only about 13 years late on that disney classic. I thought it was pretty good.
Hua Mulan - live action adaptation of the story of Mulan, nothing like the Disney version. It's a drama with some pretty good action mixed in. Good acting, great story, good fights. I thought it was really good.
Wing Chun - Michelle Yeoh plays the part of the famous female martial artists Wing Chun. It's a typical light hearted Chinese kung fu movie with some nice fights, some funny moments, a little drama mixed in. If you like Michelle Yeoh and/or kung fu movies it's worth seeing.
Kung Fu Wing Chun - A recent prequel of sorts to Wing Chun made nearly 2 decades ago. It's about how Wing Chun became the kung fu master she did. While still mostly light hearted it had a bit more tension and slightly darker themes than the predecessor. I liked Michelle Yeoh's version a lot better, but I still enjoyed this one.
V For Vendetta - I've actually seen it several times, but I just watched it again recently and it never gets old.
Azumi/Azumi 2 - Azumi 2 is essentially just part 2 of Azumi so I grouped them together. It's a Japanese movie set I believe in the early days of the Tokugawa (I believe it was originally a manga as well). A group of children are raised to eventually become assassins for the head clan. The story and fighting are both great. Again, if you like this type of movie it's definitely worth seeing.
King of Fighters - Yes the same as the game. The fact that this is a movie based off of a video game should tell you something, but it has a couple of things going for it. The first being Maggie Q. The second, well...Maggie Q.Comment
