Ex-machina
Excellent Sci-fi. Probably my favorite portrayal of artificial intelligence. It actually freaked me out and it's very thought provoking.Comment

Project Almanac. Was a decent time-travel movie geared towards teens. Had several nods to previous time travel movies.
Get Hard. Went in with low expectations, but I liked it. Kevin Hart is much better when he isn't tasked with providing all the comedy. There was good chemistry between Hart and Will Ferrell.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
It's an original Hollywood film, so the answer is probably not.
Also great performance by the whole cast. Oscar Isaac is great he's gonna be big time soon with his upcoming X-men Apocalypse and Star Wars role.
Also was surprised to read they worked with a 13 million dollar budget, the movie looked so good.
Very good script too same writer from the new Dredd movie.Last edited by RockinDaMike; 06-11-2015, 07:40 PM.Comment

Good to hear. This one's at the top of my list. I don't go to the theater often except for the rare movie I feel is a must see, and Mad Max was out around the same time as Ex-Machina. Definitely gonna check it out as soon as it's out.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
It's literally the same movie lol. Same plot lines and all. The Rock is just winning right now so he can really do no wrong.
The quick scene in the Rundown where Arnold walks by and says "Have fun" was definitely the passing of the torch of action stars.
Ex Machina was fantastic btw. One of the best legit Sci-Fi movies I've seen in a long time.
Almost forgot about Chappie too. Great movie alsoLast edited by GOBLUE_08; 06-12-2015, 02:01 AM.Comment

Finally saw Despicable Me 2. I guess I liked it...and didn't. It's a unique concept overall, but after a point it just seemed like overkill. I dunno...maybe it was just my mood. The Minions are awesome of course and looking forward to the upcoming movie. The animation detail in some scenes is mind-blowing.Comment

The Judge starring Robert Downey Jr and Robert Duvall.
Pretty good movie, has a good plot and a different ending to it then what I imagined going into it. Recommend it. It's on one of the movie channels, I think it may be Starz.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
I think Duvall got best supporting. He's been in a few dog movies lately, but this one was very well done. The dynamics of the 3 brothers was very good (the one who played the autistic brother was excellent). The bar room scene with Downey, Jr. and the rednecks was classic.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
I really enjoyed that one as well. Probably one of the better straight up films I've seen. Didn't watch it for explosions or licensed characters, but for the original story. Well done.
I really like Robert Downey Jr.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds
