Train to Busan - A Korean zombie flick. Expected a mindless zombie-action movie. Instead I got a gut-punch to the feels. Very solid movie.

Ready Player One - It's nerdy, it's cheesy, and it's a lot of fun. As a fan of the book I didn't want to get my hopes up too much, but the movie delivered. There are some pretty big differences between the two but overall the changes made didn't take away from the story.

It was the third time I watched it. It shouldn't work, given how much they try to do (introduce BP, Spiderman, etc.) Batman vs. Superman failed when it tried to do something similar. But Civil War made it work. I like it a lot and I'd rank it among my favorite MCU films.

I forgot that the movie ended the way it did and that's the last time we see the Avengers until Infinity War. I'm interested to see how they'll bring everyone back together.

Like I said, early on in the comics, Marvel made large casts work. If you think of it, Spiderman really wasn't all that new to audiences, damn the company affiliations. BP was really the main new insertion. Even Vision was a bit "established" at that point because of the voice of Jarvis. I don't really see B v S being the comparison. DC did little to form the groundwork to this JLA episode 0 movie. This is why I think it failed, even with established characters.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?

I saw Ready Player One this weekend and really liked it. It was like a teched up Goonies lol.

I was excited to see it because I listened to the book last month and thought it was great. I knew from the trailers alone that the book was not required or even supplemental reading for the movie and it was obvious that only the overall concept of the story was the same for the movie. But that's totally ok because somethings work better in film than print.

This is one of those movies that just bombard you with pop culture and retro nostalgic images throughout the movie so I really home the home release of the movie features some kind of way to point them all out to you.

I felt like it was made by a bunch of people who didn't care about the project. With Craig showing some rejuvenated interest again and with a new director, I hope there is a new spark in his final installment.

Just got back from seeing Ready Player One. I thought it was incredible. When it comes out on Blu-Ray I have to watch it almost frame by frame just to see everything I probably missed lol.

So i'm hoping someone sees er Blockers this weekend or pretty soon as i'd like to hear how it goes. The premise of this comedy movie is rather ho-hum but the ads look interesting. John Cena as a parent trying to keep his daughters from having sex on prom night sounds entertaining as hell.
