Re: Conan's Reign Begins - The Tonight Show
Conan's characters (like the Masturbating Bear) are NBC's intellectual property, and as a result he can't use them when he goes to another network.
Let us all fondly remember that bear who just couldn't stop pleasuring himself. He will be missed.

Re: Conan's Reign Begins - The Tonight Show
Conan is the best late night show host hands down. I don't even see how there can be a comparison.
He knows this like we do and is probably like WTF is going on?Comment

I'm not sure how a driving desk is NBC's intellectual property though.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

very very bad press with nbc. until Conan gets a hosting gig again, letterman's ratings will go up even higher. leno's days are numbered.Comment

Re: Conan's Reign Begins - The Tonight Show
On the plus side, wherever Conan winds up will have all-new characters. I will miss some; but it is what it is.
You can just see that this entire thing gave Conan his swagger back, so I'm looking forward to this upcoming week of shows. Bittersweet in that Conan will be off the air after then, but at least when he shows up again you know it'll be behind a network that supports him.Comment

Sources close to him said he was not interested in taking his NBC characters with him.

Re: Conan's Reign Begins - The Tonight Show
So why does NBC side with the guy that is old, and appeals to an older demographic? Don't they need to think about the future a bit? Conan is most popular in the 18-34 demographic and is 46 years old, so doesn't it make BUSINESS SENSE for NBC to keep the guy that is younger and appeals to the younger audience?Comment
