The difference in Desmond's and Jack's interactions with Locke was awesome. Desmond, completely fearless, totally threw Locke for a loop as he probably felt powerless without somebody being feared by him. Jack's facial expression when he saw Locke was great and Locke loved it.
Somebody asked how Dez knew Locke in the alt. reality. Desmond has the flight manifest, so he's going around acting like Cupid.
And I don't see how Jack cannot be Jacob's replacement. The whole Locke v. Jack struggle is practically the foundation of the show and with "Locke" being MiB, it just seems like Jack would be the obvious replacement for Jacob.Last edited by Fresh Tendrils; 04-14-2010, 05:40 PM.

Every time I start to thing it's Jack, the show throws an episode like this where it'd be easy to assume that Hurley is the replacement, as he's the one that everyone listens to now.
And then, in the very same episode, they make me think it's Jack again with the looks that Jack and "Locke" exchanged at the end.
It's going to be an amazing ride these last few weeks. Bittersweet, without a doubt.Comment

I'm starting to believe that Desmond is the equivalent of Jacob on the alt side since the island isn't there on that side. Its also nice (and relevant maybe?) to see Jack become the "Man of Faith" now.

Good old school Lost episode last night. It was nice to see Sun & Jin finally reunited.
Great line from Desmond to save himself from Sayid - I'm predicting he did not pull the trigger. Which leads me to question, if Sayid is really "dead" and possessed, why does Smokey have to motivate him with promises of resurrecting Nadia? Sayid and Claire are sort of buried alive by Smokey as seen by their actions this week.Comment
