Ok guys, I was able to unroot the Nexus back to stock and lock it as well.

Returned it this morning. Turns out that the method I was using was not the latest and the new one is much easier and worked like a charm

Now I just need to learn how to install the new mod into my new phone because it is sooo much better then stock Verizon

      CM 9 MOD

Use that same tool to unlock + root.

Then you just have to power up into that screen from before and go into CWM, wipe and flash.

Go to XDA forums. Look through the ROMS on the forum for your phone.

Accompanying that post will be a zip file to download. Place it on your sd card.

Most likely, going from one ROM to a different ROM, you have to do a full wipe, make sure you have everything backed up that you want.

Get root access then download Titanium Back-up. It will back up all of your apps and data. Your contacts should be backed up with your google account.

After you do a full wipe, you go to choose file from sd card, go to that .zip that you downloaded and hit flash and yes, and it will load it up!

Plug your phone into your computer, enable USB debugging, and connect USB storage.

Does Titanium back up texts and settings, or just files/apps/data? Just wondering how annoying it ends up being to re-set up your phone with this backup...

I'm totally happy with ICS on the GN for a while, but eventually I may want to use one of the roms.

I thankfully all ready unlocked my bootloader and can root if I need.

I use Titanium for my apps and MyBackup Pro for the sms/mms/internet bookmarks

So I finally flashed my stock rom on the nexus and put in the Codename Android 1.1.4

Incredible Rom and well worth the pain of learning

Now the phone feels faster and smoother in transitions.

I do the same as judgejudy.

I remember when I had the original Samsung Galaxy S, when I tried flashing new Roms and semi-bricked, bad day.

I never played Angry Birds after that, did not want to start over.

Unfortunately I don't own a Galaxy Nexus, I'm on T-mobile. I have an HTC Sensation running ICS however.

Is there an app that does the same function as blackberrys bedside mode? I miss that so much
