    Re: Official Android Discussion Thread

Yeah I'm not terribly familiar with Samsung devices but if you are reaching recovery I don't see why you couldn't push a stock ROM in there and boot from there.

Not sure if you have other recoveries available for your device, but I've seen CWM issues in the past on other devices (e.g. wiping issues) and would usually suggest other methods if available. Some swear by it, some would refer to it as the noob method that always has people asking the same questions.

Or if you have a backup, which is Rulo Numero Uno, could just restore and flash again. Or download again. Bad DL perhaps?

If you can get to Odin, all is well.

Android phones are almost unbrickable. You have to really try to brick them.

Been trying different Roms and decided to stick with CM9 from the actual dev which is bare right now but it is very fast and smooth.

They are updating it fast and within a week or 2 we should have a lot of other features.

Cm9 is out? Good to hear. I'll check it out soon. I've been rolling with MikG for a while now. I have been able to tweak it to perfection but the cm roms have always been good and are worth checking out a new build.

Just went from an unofficial CM9 Kang to AOKP build 26 last night. A lot of. The same stuff in different places, but the speed upgrade is noticeable.

CM9 just came out with official nightlys for the Nexus, but I normally give it a couple of weeks for the to work out the kinks. Hearing the speed and battery life is buttery goodness, though.

AOKP is very good as well. I was using that before but I am such a huge CM fan that I will stick with the bare for now until they continue to improve it which they will

                      Codename Android is also excellent

Those'll be better on speed and battery life than stock ICS? My battery's ok (I can get through a work day), but I usually make sure to plug in a charger at work to make sure...

For those that are not liking the new stock twitter app, and running ICS give the Boid app a look. Nothing really special but I like it's interface better than the new twitter.

It kinda sucks there aren't any good Twitter apps for Android. What are some of you using?

I use tweetcaster. Tweetdeck isn't as good on android as it was for me on the iPhone.
