I liked having a preview or space to put the link with a comment. Maybe I should just re-enable it. Facebook and Messenger weren't taking up a lot of battery according to GSam but I'm afraid that some of their use was showing up under "Android System" which seems to be used too much (30% on GSam) in my mind. Hasn't gone down much since disabling FB and Messenger though. Maybe I should just re-enable it.

 Re: Official Android Discussion Thread

I'm not sure if it's unique to the G4 or not, but has anybody had any issues with push notifications not showing up? Over the last week, I haven't had any coming up for any apps and I haven't been able to find any sure way to fix it.

 Re: Official Android Discussion Thread

For those with the 6p, how is the typing? On my Moto X is it is extremely unresponsive. I've used the default Google keyboard and Swiftkey. But can't seem to type what I want on a consistent basis. It leaves out letters and then autocorrect makes an even bigger mess of things. I have to slow down to a snails pace to make sure it types what I want.

On my old iphone I had not issues texting so I know its not me.Comment

I had the same issue with the note 5. It was something I hated. That and other things was the reason I went back to iPhone..

 Re: Official Android Discussion Thread

Yep. And at its core it's a great phone but I'm having some serious issues with it which is most likely gonna lead to a change in phones.

I don't know the exact reasons but the battery life is absolutely horrible. It may be because of the ambient display, which I really like. So I don't want to turn it off.

And the other big issue is the screens terrible response. It's mostly with texting. But it's a serious issue because I can't just text easy like I could on my iphone. I could text super fast and not worry about mistakes. With this phone its so bad I have to text extremely slow to make sure it says what I want. It almost always messes up if I just text normally.

This is why I really want some feedback on how the typing is on the Nexus 6P. That's the phone I'm leaning towards to replace this one.Comment

 Re: Official Android Discussion Thread

Sometimes I have an issue. I noticed when I switched from iPhone to a Note 4. I don't seem the have the issue as much on Nexus 6P like I did on the Note 4 though. For those with the 6p, how is the typing? On my Moto X is it is extremely unresponsive. I've used the default Google keyboard and Swiftkey. But can't seem to type what I want on a consistent basis. It leaves out letters and then autocorrect makes an even bigger mess of things. Touchwiz is horrible. Nova made it smooth on the Note 4 though. I have been stock Android since I got the Nexus 6P.Comment

 Re: Official Android Discussion Thread

I do. Love the phone but I'm having a hard time nailing down my battery situation. It might just be Sprint/wifi networks I connect to. I don't know. I've tried enabling and disabling various **** and being on top of all of it. No real rhyme or reason to what is happening on a day to day basis.

I'm sick of worrying about it too. I'm near outlets and chargers at all times. I just don't want to have issues with this phone since it'll likely be the last time I was able to get a phone on a 2 year upgrade price without any of this monthly payment bull****.Comment
