Yea up until the last episode there was really no "Wow" moments, but last episode was really tense. I think it will really take off from there now.

Re: Dexter (Season 5)
I was literally on the edge of my seat watching that one scene where Dexter is chasing that guy down as Masuka, Deb and the 2 cops are coming around the corner. That was nuts.
At this point they're going to have to really deliver with the second half of the season though. It's been all build-up so far and they've set themselves up for either a huge payoff or a huge failure. Either way I'm looking forward to what's coming next because it looks like Dexter is finally going to start getting after that group that Boyd was involved with.Comment

I'm not really liking the direction. Too many story lines going on @ the same time. Seems like they're having a hard-time writing for this season.Comment

Re: Dexter (Season 5)
Well, maybe not all, but as someone mentioned previously: I can see Dexter's story with Lumen, Quinn's deal with the ex-cop, and Deb's investigation culminating in one big holy crap.
And if not that, at least two of those stories will relate, making it a three arc season which is right in line with Dexter."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Lots of storylines, true. I do think that they will all come together at some point.

Re: Dexter (Season 5)
And now everything is starting to come together and the season looks to be headed in the right direction.
I can dig it. Jordan Chase and Cole can both be good characters, Quinn's private investigator seems like something that's going to be big, the case and Dexter's life are finally coming together...
The last few episodes should be good, I hope.Comment

I hope the Quin storyline doesn't get to the point where it's ridiculous and bad writing is what happens. They can make it good but tonight was bad and were suppose to care because it's apparently gonna have a outcome with Dexter.Comment

Re: Dexter (Season 5)
Tonight wasn't a bad episode, but it wasn't a great one either. They keep taking small steps forward and building things up. It's a little hard to believe there's only 5 episodes left, so the final episodes are really going to have to deliver I think.
As for some of the storylines so far, the whole Fuentes brothers thing was basically a big waste of time IMO. It didn't really take us anywhere. I don't think it's completely over because that one brother got away, but I just don't see the point or payoff to this storyline.
Quinn's storyline with that investigator has been going pretty slow but it looks like it finally starts to pick up next week. I have to say that investigator guy is just creepy as hell and has an awesome voice.
Lumen is starting to develop into a nice character. The thing I don't like is that it seems like Dexter is sometimes viewing her as Rita in a way. I say that because at the beginning of the episode Dexter says something to himself about his reason for helping her and to me it seemed like it was because he can kind of see Rita when he looks at her. Also at the end of the episode when Lumen is holding Harrison, it seemed like Dexter was looking at her in that light as well. I just hope they don't try to push this into a romantic situation, but it seems inevitable at this point, especially when Lumen made a pass at Dexter at the beginning of the episode tonight.
I'm glad they're finally starting to delve into the Jordan Chase situation more. Early in the season it was mostly just talking about that group of Lumen's attackers, but now we're starting to finally see them and see Dexter go after them. I'm curious to find out the meaning of that picture with Cole, Boyd and (I think) Chase when they were younger.
Also, the shots they took at Masuka this episode were hilarious. I loved Lumen's reaction to the picture of Jordan Chase and Masuka. "He looks like a creep".Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: Dexter (Season 5)
I like the direction they are headed in. The Quinn/Investigator storyline is picking up as indicated by the previews.
I was surprised that the motivational speaker is in on this. So the dead dentist, the motivational speaker, and his security guy all met at a Psychopath Convention? Interesting to see the origin of this Creep Union.Comment

Re: Dexter (Season 5)
Yeah I just looked that guy up cause I love his voice and delivery and I had no idea that was Robocop.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment
