So after only having the television for 5 days, I get a red horizontal line in the center of the television. The bad thing is Sears is completely out of stock of the tv I have. I talked to a guy and he said the set is not even in their system any more, so they are probably done carrying it. I really liked the tv for the whole 5 days I had it.

I am either going to return it and start looking for another television, or I may have Panasonic take care of it. It`s very frustrating to have a tv go bad after only 5 days

Ouch. At least it happened during the return period.

If you have them repair it, make sure they give you a time frame for when you'll get it back.

I am actually going to have Panasonic take care of it. They will either fix it or replace at no cost. I really love the picture on it. For the price I got it at, I would be crazy not to get the same television.

Thanks to you guys on here that have opened my eyes up to plasma. The picture on a plasma compared to an led/lcd is definitely on another level.

Good deal. Did they say how long it would take before you get it back?

So there is truth that today's plasmas handle gaming much better?

I've been kicking around the idea of getting another TV. I bought a 55 inch LG just 6 months ago, and the motion blur is a royal pain in my arse. I'd hate to plunk down another 1K+ on another LED just to still see motion blur.

I prefer plasma for gaming. However, it took me a while to not be concerned about IR on my set. I'm probably between 1,700 - 2,000 hours on mine.

Parents got http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Samsung+...2060&cp=1&lp=3 today. Looks pretty damn good watching Toy Story 3 and glad they went plasma. Only problem is there is a loud buzzing coming from the set and it's louder then their DLP which was on it's last leg. Haven't done any slides yet, just told them to only watch full screen pictures for the first week or so.

Unfortunately, the buzzing will remain. Mine does too. It's like inherent to the technology, because it seems even this year's line will buzz as well.

My parents have an LG and a Panasonic plasma and I have a Panasonic. I've never heard a buzzing noise ever.

Some of the Samsung plasmas don't buzz, for one reason or another. For instance, my sister and her husband have the Samsung PN64D7000 (I have the PN59D7000) and theirs doesn't buzz, so I guess they lucked out. It seems most of those that didn't had a screen peeling issue though.

Anyway, I wasn't saying that all plasmas buzz. Okay, all of them do, but some are very quiet and run from the back of the screen. My buzz is directionally shooting right out of the front of it, and if you've heard it then you'd know what I mean. It really, really sucks and is the only downfall to my screen, and next time I get a television I will be sure that it won't buzz.

That sounds horrible... in more ways than one. I decided to test it out and mine does make a buzzing behind the TV, but it is barely audible, even when right next to it. Panasonic, how I love thee.

Agreed, I have had my plasma now for just about 3 years and it still looks brand new..I have an LG 50".. I was going to buy pc monitor for my room to play the show on so it looks good, I had to stop myself and say with, I have a beautiful 50" plasma and there is not need..

So I have never owned a so-round sound system, so I went to best buy and treating myself to and LG bar that was on sale...it even has a subwoofer built in, and man why didn't I do the years ago..just enhanced my experience.

Love my set up now..my Son is playing the Xbox and batman and it sounds stellar..can't wait to play more of the show on it later.

                          This is what I bought

I did notice its very very directional. I sat down and stood up and could hear it then not hear it. 5 feet to the left I couldn't hear it. Weird.

Is it okay to have dynamic contrast and dynamic color turned on in game mode? Just want to know if that can cause lag when playing games. The picture looks much better when it's on. I have it set to medium contrast and low color. Thanks.

Tv looks alright but having a hard time finding something that looks good on games its either to much color or a dull dark look. On some settings i found
