Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
It could've been ordered. It is a non advertised deal. The employee should've said something, I sold 10 full Klipsch systems yesterday just by telling people if they buy the center they'll get the rears free.

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
I went back up there and asked about it. Between two workers and a GM they said the rears became free, but you had to pay full price for everything else.
So I have everything minus a sub, speaker wire, and stands now. I guess the easiest solution might be to just make a shelf...Comment

I'm at the same price. Any idea how long the deal is active? I need to just get them out of the box first and see if I'd benefit from the rears anyways first.Comment

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
Anybody have any thoughts on the new Vizio soundbars? I'm gonna be moving into a new house soon and the fiance isn't big on having wires all around the living room and I don't really want to do wires underneath the floor.PSN-Shugarooo

Vizio Soundbar - Avsforum thread
Consider cable raceways if, and that is a BIG if, you really want to go with the standard speaker and wiring systems. My buddy recently had his living room remodeled with hardwood flooring and he kept his definitive technology front towers, center speakers and back surround sound speakers. Speaker wires were elegantly hidden with cable raceways.

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
I would go with a 2.1 Klipsch sound bar before I would buy Vizio sound.

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
I'm thinking I might downgrade to the KF-26. The Yamaha RX-V673 I got is rated for 90W per channel. Not sure I'd be getting my money's worth since it seems like it couldn't power the KF-28 to its full potential. Definitely feel free to tell me otherwise.

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
I definitely could, but then if I ever go 7.2 I'd have to undo the bi-amp and I'd be back where I started. I need to get the speakers out of the box and see how they are size wise. The misses might make me get something smaller anyways...Comment

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
If so, they're bigger than you think. Even when you see them in store, you don't realize how deep they are. They really look nice, though. I took a picture with them compared to my 59" screen somewhere, I'll find that. If I can't, I'll take another picture for you.
Anyway, I was just thinking that bi-amping them would get the Yamaha to produce enough good wattage to both speakers. That's what I'm doing right now. I know I could do much better which is why I'm always considering another receiver, but one reason I kind of can't right now is that anything "better" is also actually bigger, and that can't fit in my stand.
Anyway, yeah I downgraded from 7.2 to 5.1 but am still using the same receiver. I'm now bi-amping, though.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
They're still in the box. Receiver gets here tomorrow so I haven't bothered yet. If the cost to return it to Amazon isn't much I'll look into returning it. I'd rather go bi-amp now over paying $50 in shipping and be upside down.Comment
