I actually thought about that the other day. Just not sure how I am going to like the PQ of it over this LED....

So you have the plasma from Sammy at same size? Cool

I was wanting to switch my LED to that plasma but decided since I game so much to just stick with the LED and the fact that it is very thin makes it much more appealing to the look on the wall.

My speakers are heavy and tall. Each weight about 45 lbs. But not sure yet if I should remove the grills or keep them on...

I have Verizon Fios and a Denon AVR X2000 receiver.
The 60F8500 is downstairs. I have a 59D7000 in my room upstairs that I game with. I have essentially the same "set=up" as you in that I have the towers, center, and sub (I also have surrounds not available in this picture below):

The very sad thing though is that I really haven't played a game on here since January. Schooling and coaching kicks my butt. Maybe during my Spring Break, I will have just a little bit of time. Not positive though heh.

Have you ever considered lowering your TV to right above the center channel? I think it would be closer to your eye level, would hide the wires, and would "fit" more with everything that you have placed there.

Just a suggestion. Plus, maybe it's just the angle or reflections or something, but is your TV parallel to everything else?

Oh, and that's when the score was good. Now it's looking bleak for SF.

I'm not sure how soundbars work, I have an AV receiver and separate speakers. Does all your equipment hook to it through HDMI? You'll probably want to run an optical cable from your TV to the soundbar for any apps the TV has if it is a Smart TV.
Finally got the mount up....looks good and with a bigger tv I could center it better. Haven't done the wires in wall yet and not sure if I want to mount soundbar or not....

Any info on 70" tv prices coming down? I think that would be a great update, just a bit expensive right now....I'd consider 65" maybe , this will just be the last real upgrade in a while so want a solid upgrade from 47"

Do you have white walls? If so, you may want to consider something similar to this to help hide those black cords.

I'm in the process of putting up our fabric, sound acoustic walls for our home theater room right now. Once I'm done with that and some other minor stuff, I'll take some pictures and show you. Another thing, be sure your staging your speakers correctly. Your L and R tower should be the same distance apart as the viewing distance from the tv/speakers. If they're too close, you're going to be losing a lot of sound.

The only budget friendly brands at 70" right now is Vizio and Sharp.

70" prices are slowly starting to go down. Samsung has come out with some pretty decently priced 75" models this year. I'm not sure if prices are up on websites yet, but I've seen them and it's pretty competitive. The new Sharp Q+ TV's are very impressive. They are getting tremendous reviews over at AVS on the forums. The Vizio M Series is always pretty decent, but 3d is getting stripped from their sets this year, not sure if that's a big deal to you or not. Sony also has a good priced 70" set that's good for gaming. Through my tests so far, the Sony's have about a 42ms lag input, the Sharp has a 43ms, the Samsung 7150 has a 53ms lag input, the Vizio has a 43ms lag input. Nothing really new there, Samsungs have always had a higher input lag in their LEDs. Sharp the is the surprising one, they're usually around Samsungs. Vizio and Sony have always had a pretty good reputation for gaming TVs.

Thanks for the input! I'm going to watch prices drop over the next year and see if I can find a deal at some point. I've been good with Vizio tv's so far, I'm a more low end/budget type consumer.

Right now they're a little expensive for my tastes (plus we just had our son, so not a prudent purchase), but I think they'll reach my threshold soon enough!

So I went to pc richards and saw the 60VT60 Floor model for 2000 and thought they were nuts. He said he can do 1600 which I was okay with. I asked for remote and they could not find it. I then ran screen wipe and espn logo and top story boxes were burned into display. I showed him and he was shocked. He said 1400. I thought to myself that the burn is most likely I.r and I can get rid of it after a while. So then he could not find all pieces to stand. So I was about to walk and he said sorry and he would sell for 1150 and give me free wall mount and 2 hdmi cables plus surge protector. I said deal. Running slides now and screen wipe for a few weeks to get rid or fade the I r.

I put led in other room and vt60 in living room
