Slightly off topic, but the $1000-$1200 budget 1080P projectors are now down to the $600-670 price range. Very affordable if you are considering 60" or larger sets.

Sony TV's typically won't work with movers coupons. You could try go back and tell them you just got it and would like to apply it, but it's really the managers call. Personally, I would ok it but every manager in retail is different lol. As for the TV, it's an awesome set. A lot of my friends have it and love it. Sony by far outperformed everyone this year in quality. It's amazing how great the upscaler and triluminous system is. By the way, check out Breaking Bad in 4k, it's pretty awesome.

I caught parts of Breaking Bad and House of Cards in 4K to test around and they look amazing. Just wish my connection wasn't inconsistent even when wired when trying to stream 4K content.Comment

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
I had to have the panel on my 75" Samsung F8000 LED replaced last week. For the first time ever I had purchased the extended warranty with Geek Squad, so it didn't cost me anything. It was crazy seeing the inside of the TV though. Instead of just replacing the TV they brought in a new panel and had to take the motherboard, speakers, camera, etc off my defective TV and put them on the new panel. But it seems to have fixed the issue. That flashlight affect had gotten really bad around the edges and also I had this faint horizontal line across the TV in a couple places whenever you had a darker gray scene. The new display fixed all that so I'm happy again.

I'll probably have to wait more than a year, but that's fine...no rush, our 47" is fine, would just like to fill that spot on my wall up one of these days, and get that bigger one in the bedroom.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
I know! No one saw the defect but me, but people are coming over for the game and I wanted it fixed before then.
I attached images of the bad TV. One is of the faint horizontal line. It looks like burn in or something but it wasn't that. The other is of the flashlighting around the corners, that pic is a little blurry because I had to take the pic so quick on that black screen. Both of these issues are gone with the new panel.
But yes it is a nice TV. I have a large living room, we probably sit 16 feet away from the TV because we sit on a couch at the other end of that 12' rug in this pic:

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
Getting the itch to buy a new tv for the living room. I just bought the Sony 40w600B for the bedroom. I have a 50 inch in the living room, but I'm considering 60 or 70 inch.
