Video Options are HDR Mode, HDMI Video Ramge and Color Space. White Balance settings are enabled in Game Mode but for video games I leave them at default.

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
These are where you likely have most of your red push though. This is where colors are mostly inaccurate for televisions out of the box. Arguably of the most important things to tweak/calibrate.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
I don't find the reds too bad during video games...It was mostly during watching sports (try watching a TFC or Liverpool game on default settings on this TV lol). For my sports/movie/TV show watching I used rtings.com settings and then tweaked the colour down from there as somehow they kept their's at 50.

LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
I used the rtings settings for now just to get going. I then watched several streams in 4K from you tube and it looks amazing. I agree that the Reds are a little much while watching baseball on dish network. 1080i looks pretty rough in comparison as well. I wonder when broadcast/satellite companies will finally go to 1080P and up. I'm sure it's not cost prohibitive.
From my about 5 hours of watching, this is an amazing TV for the price. I am very pleased. I did not buy the extended warranty because it was about 20% of the purchase price for 5 years. What are your opinions on the tv and warranty?

From rtings
The Samsung KS8000 offers one of the best value on the market and clearly is a better TV than the UH7700. Either you watch TV in the dark or in a bright room, the KS8000 surpasses the picture quality of the UH7700. The LG UH7700 is able to maintain a better picture if you seat on the side of the TV though but as long as you sit in front, movies, HDR, sports and video games all are better on the KS8000.

WHAT?? My 5 year extended warranty at Costco for my $1579 KS850D was $89. Dude, go to www.squaretrade.com and don't buy whatever it is they were trying to sell you as that is outrageous to pay.PSN-Shugarooo

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
Difference is you're dealing with a 3rd party. What happens if you're hit with a power surge or lightning strike? Answer: Screwed. At the end of the day, it's your choice, but SquareTrade is still a 3rd party you'd be dealing with. I've been getting the Best Buy Extended Warranties on all electronics, even before I started working there.
I was actually hit with a power surge that took out my Onkyo receiver and my LG TV. Both were covered by Squaretrade. They had a local certified LG repair center contact me the next day and they came out within a few days to fix it. As for the receiver, they ended up cutting me a check for $799 after it was determined by a local repair service center that my Onkyo was unrepairable. I was able to cash that check and order a new receiver with it on Amazon.
After that incident every major purchase I get is insured through Squaretrade. I can't recommend them enough. If you can get a Best Buy or a Gamestop or whatever 1st party warranty for within reason of the Squaretrade then go for it but if you want to save money then Squaretrade is the way to go.
Also, it's not just my opinion, they are highly rated by consumers. Currently at 8.34 out of 10 on resellerratings.com

I bought this TV in December for about the equivalent of $600 US (I'm in Toronto, paid $797 CD). I couldn't be happier with the performance of this TV. Not just for the price though that's great too. Just in general. My PS4 Pro has been great on this set, as have whatever Leafs and Raptors game are shown in 4K. Couldn't be happier.

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
Nope, not screwed at all. I've actually used Squaretrade for years and they are fantastic. They're fast and responsive to your calls and emails and turn around time is very very good. For a big screen TV they will send a certified Samsung (or LG or whatever brand your TV is) to repair your TV and they are right away.

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
I would consider it definitely over Squaretrade if the price was comparable but it usually isn't from my experience. Also, it's sort of handy for me to have every warranty from the same place just for my own sanity, LOLStreaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Different presets. For TV/sports, I use rtings white point balance settings, for Xbox or PS4 gaming I use default.
