Decided to get the KS8500. I checked all around and looked at all the reviews I could find and even checked rtings.com. I'm hoping I made the right choice since this is the last tv I will get for a long time.

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
Yea but I personally can't play my games on torch mode especially at night. At night in full darkness my backlight is at 6 and 10 during the day. So Because of that I'm always switching back and forth.

I pick it up over the weekend but haven't watched it yet. I hear it's incredible.

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
Sorry but the KS8000 doesn't hit anywhere near the black levels the B6 can. There's a reason the B6 was rated the 2016 Best TV on the market.

That's all subjective, I'm just saying overall the B6 is the superior TV. At the end of the day it's your money.PSN-Shugarooo

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
I got the ks8000 for gaming and don't really have any complaints with its motion response times. I did end up turning HDR off though because even though it looked really good, my PS4 screenshots would always be super dark. I tried changing some settings, but could never figure out how to get bright screenshots. With that said my games still look great without HDR, so I'm cool with it.
I've only watched one movie on it since I bought it six months ago and it looked great.Comment

I would be interested to know what the B6 is like for gaming as this is where my expectations haven't been met with the Samsung.Comment

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
OLEDS aren't as good for gaming, too much lag. What you have is the best set for gaming, not sure why you think there is something wrong with it.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
With the latest firmware update for the B6, the input lag got brought down to the low 20's which is pretty fantastic for a TV, and very very close to the Samny's 19-24ms. When it comes to almost anything really... OLEDs win out. It's whether you want to pay the price of entry.

Last year's B6 got an update that brought down the input lag to 28.5 when gaming in 4k HDR. OLEDs have virtually no motion blur and the overwhelming majority of LCDs don't come close. They have deeper blacks too. They just don't get that bright for HDR and they also have automatic backlight limiter which gets dim depending on what you're watching to protect the tv which can be annoying. This year's C7 is the new LG OLED models replacing the B6 and the input lag is even lower at 21ms regardless of the resolution and HDR.
They're just too damn expensive. Overall the OLED will give you a better picture, but some of the better led TVs like that ks8000 look really good and are not too far off from OLEDs.

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
Does anybody own or seen anything on the new LG uj7700? I'm pretty much limited down to a 60 inch tv as that's all I can fit in my space for the tv. There aren't many options in 60 inch with hdr. Just wondering if anybody has seen much on this tv?
